    Panasonic XYN3+F6FJ Screw kit

I found this forum while looking into a 7 blink problem on my TC-P55GT30 tv.
Thanks to numerous posts about the problem in this forum I was able to narrow the problem down to the SC board and have sent it out for repair.

My question is about the updated screw kit from Panasonic. I am about to order a set for the TC-P55GT30 but am wondering about the TC-P50S60 that I also own. I have done a search on the P50S60 here and found no mention of the same problem that the P55GT30 has regarding the screws holding the boards to the tv. Also the tvs listed as needing the kit do not include the P50S60, however the kits are $6 so what it be a good idea to go ahead and order an extra set for the P50S60 or did Panasonic update the screws prior to releasing the P50S60?

Thanks for any advice on this.

I will definitely be doing that tw2005. Hopefully you are right about them learning from their mistakes. Hopefully I learned from not paying attention to why the GT30 flashed purple on the top part of the display a couple of times before the 7 blinks of death showed up. If I had investigated what was going on and found this forum, I probably wouldn't be sending the SC board out for repairs. Ah well, live and learn.

      Thanks for the reply tw2005.

The beauty is though , once repaired and secured, you'll get some years assuming nothing else goes.

Been a good 2 years and none of mine have failed again and check another, has over 4000hrs added and repair holding well

          Time for an update.
I got the sd board back from being repaired. According to the repair guy he replaced 12 parts, Fets, 2BJTs, 2 ICs. As he said, "the usual stuff."

Anyway I waited for the screw set and slightly built the solder up where the screws were loose. It has been about three weeks now since it has been put back together and it is working perfectly. Probably should touch wood now.

The ribbon cables were a bit of a pain to get perfectly alligned but I persevered and it looks great. I am planning to take the back off one more time and recheck the screws before I remount it on the wall just to make sure they are still tight.

Thanks again for the advice. All in it cost me about $110 Canadian for the repair and shipping. So far so good.

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
            by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
            by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
