    Westinghouse LD-3255VX TV - Half of screen is black

    Hi! I have a Westinghouse LD-3255VX 720p 32" LCD TV. It came out of a bar or club, that's all I know about it. Was given to me. So, the bottom half of the screen is black and has vertical colored lines. I have reseated all cables, resoldered the LVDS connector on the main board, (main board is OK). I also took the front frame off to check the ribbon cables - nothing happens when you press them or tap them. What could the problem be here?

      In other words, tapping and pressing the tabs do nothing

              Yes.
              Used to have colored lines on the bottom part but now they are not as visible.
              Some of the plastic is ripped off up there, I did that.

                  good night! I have this screen that looks half black and half white. the tcon gives a low vgh value (5-6v). the rest seem fine. I first removed the flex from one half of the panel and then the other. Removing the left, vgh increases it to 25-26v. I think the problem is in that area, but there are not many elements on the integrated controller board. there are no shorted capacitors. could they be a cof? Some help?

                  By the way, now the entire screen is black. Maybe some flex was not connected correctly... I have exchanged the flex and there are no variations, I don't think they are the...

                  Problem

                  This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                  Hi i am not expert on fixing i am learning just to make shore about but every help is welcome so i have here Adler-43ae99s and what i done is replace the bad capacitors on mainboard and backlights now what i have problem is its all black no image no sound so i have try testing it on RCON flat cables when i remove LEFT its black and white but when i remove RIGHT its all black now i am on dead end here and i am feel let down on my self with this one i hope some one will help
