    Samsung UE40D5520 main board compatability

I have a UE40D5520 with the common fault of stuck in boot logo on and off and repeating. No mainboard for 40 inch model currently available but I do have a board from a 32 inch model which suffered screen damage available. The BN94 numbers are almost identical the 40" being BN9405069D the 32" BN9405069AD. Havnt got the 40" TV yet just a customer repair enquiry so cant try it and see. In the past on the older Samsung LCD TVs it used to be possible to change the screen size in service menu. Anybody able to advise whether this might be possible in this case??

Im pretty sure the 32inch board will work in the 40inch screen. Only difference might be a usb connector for example.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

Thanks for your reply. An in house repair to customers TV could be worth a try?
All usb sockets are identically placed. Appreciate your input.

You could call the customer saying you might have a solution but your not 100% sure. I think the board will work , maybe a service menu option that needs to be changed.......

We will only find out if you try it but you cant really damage anything. It will turn on or not.
Problem is probably the cpu chip , bad bga solder. Reflowing the board might work for while...

Just thought I would close this thread with a report that fitted 32" inch board today in 40" Model today without any problems. No adjustments needed in service Menu just a straight transition. hope this might help in the future with similar non availability of 40" board for this model problems.

Why not just replace the nand and fix it yourself.

I will vouch for this seller.
I've bought one from him and it works perfectly.

I know you've fixed the tv but try to keep the board in circulation.

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                    by Asraf Atb
                    Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
                    by ygorsan
                    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                    🧩 Problem Summary:
                    • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                    • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                    • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

                    Samsung UN75RU8000FXZA bad main board?
                    by Lee M.
When plugged in it will click and cycle the BL on and off, no pic and does not respond to remote. When I disconnect the cable from the PS board to the main board and then plug it in the BL will come on and stay on. There are only two boards in this set, the LVDS cables from the panel driver boards connect directly to the main board. Since the BL comes on and stays on I'm thinking the PS board is ok and the problem is on the main board. Should I order another main board or do I need to do more testing? thanks, Lee

                    Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
                    by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                    CN6401
                    Pin 01 NC
                    Pin 02 NC
                    Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
                    Pin 04 "N/C"
                    Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                    Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                    Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
