Help! Picture but no sound on InsigniaNS48D510NA15

    Hello!
I have replied to her older thread that have the same issue, different TV.

However I thought I might get a quicker response by making a new post.

I have a two-year-old insignia an NS – 48D510 NA15 that I purchased from future shop two years ago.

I have sound but no picture. I did the flashlight test, so that would tell me that I need a new back light inverter board.

However after having difficulty trying to find it with the back off. I did find a post that said something about this tv not having one??

Can somebody advise me on how to replace the part that is stopping the picture from working? I've called three TV repair man and no one seems inclined to help. Best Buy wants $95 to diagnose, $240 to repair plus the cost of the part… Obviously it would be cheaper to buy a new TV!

But I can't afford a new TV, so I'm hoping I can fix the one I have. So any suggestions at all please help… Thank you so much!

Did you carry out the suggested test as in post #10 in the earlier thread?

Here are the results of our testing last night…

With the TV off and leaving the black probe on the chassis and leaving the red probe on the white wire terminal the reading was zero votes

Then waiting a few minutes and turning the TV off for the drop-down voltage... The reading was zero.

The readings for the black terminal started at 397 V, and it came down to 395 V.

Without the LED connector, the white probe read 0 V and the black red 395 V.

I hope this tells you what you need to know? I hope?

I have also attached 1 pics of the board.... thank you for your help!!!

You have 395v - 397V so it looks as like you have a problem with your led string. Previous thread said there is only one led string. Circuit board says they run at 200V, 400mA

So that's what I need to order then?
              Is it difficult to replace?

              That's for your help!

If you want to check the led's then you will need to lift away the lcd panel very carefully. Make sure that the lcd panel and filter panels go back exact way they were taken off.
Search for Youtube video's on how to remove the lcd panel and how to test the leds using a multimeter.
