I recently acquired this well-kept Mitsubishi LCD projection television (one of the only LCD-based rear projectors Mits ever made among all of the DLPs and CRTs) but am not pleased by the sound. I know that TV speakers usually suck and that there's not much that can be expected out of small speakers, but these just seem unseasonably bad. When certain frequencies play, usually voices, (especially President Trump) there is a rattly vibration that is audible. I turned the bass down to the midpoint, which reduced the problem, but didn't eliminate it (and also cost the speakers what little bass that they could produce).
Given how tricky sound can be sometimes, it's hard for me to isolate where the distortion is coming from exactly. It might even be a case of blown speakers. Does anybody have any tips for finding out what is causing the rattling? A visual inspection of the speakers themselves reveals no obvious issues.
