    How to fix vizio XVT323SV XVT373SV XVT423SV XVT473SV XVT553SV

    Hello again everyone,

Earlier this week, I posted on the M470NV and M550NV Vizio TVs and how to fix the most common issues. Well it turns out that all the models of tvs below use almost exactly the same Main board and all experience the exact same failures. If you have one of the TVs below, please follow this link to the original thread for details on how to fix your TV dependent on the symptoms:

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ghlight=M550nv

    1. Symptoms of a bad main board:
    2. TV turns on, but the on screen vizio logo freezes and the tv eventually cycles off and back on again. (this can sometimes happen endlessly or until power plug is removed)
    3. TV turns on, both sound and picture come through, however the TV menu is very slow to navigate and seems to freeze a lot.
    4. TV turns on, the menus and component/coaxial input work, however the HDMI ports don't appear as optional inputs
    5. TV turns on, menus work smart apps work, but the HDMI ports have no sound and no picture. (No signal keeps appearing)
    6. TV turns on and HDMI ports work, but no sound
    7. TV does not turn on, and the small vizio logo at the bottom of the frame keeps flashing white to orange endlessly
    8. Tv does not seem to turn on, the vizio logo on frame does not flash but stays orange.
    9. Tv logo goes from orange to white but the TV does not turn on.

Vizio XVT553SV - Up for sale
    by jason123
Hi, in our local community, someone has this TV up for sale.. I am wondering if anyone has had this issue and know what it could be? I realize it's tough based on a picture.

I've worked on similar TV, and it's always been bad main baord - I would send it out for repair and $110 later, it works.

Does this look like a main board??

It's greenish tint and pixelized - as the seller described it....

    Vizio XVT553SV Problems
    by Pointerpride102
New to the forum here...I'm having issues with my Vizio XVT553SV. I'm not tech savvy, but I'm pretty smart and can learn if you're able to help dumb the tech down for me. Hopefully the symptoms I describe are helpful to get to the bottom of my problem and with any luck the solution will be an easy and cheap fix (seems unlikely given my luck!)

To the issue, about a week ago my wife stated the TV was doing something weird and would give her some scrambled horizontal lines, distorting the picture upon start up. Usually turning it off and back on would clear up the issue and the picture...

VIZIO XVT473SV has PSU Problem. only 10v on 12v rail.
    by triplefour
after reading some of the other posts, im a little wary of putting money into this tv only to find it also has mainboard issues (which seem real common)
i have a less common problem, where the PSU is not producing enough voltage.

when i first got the tv, it shows the amber light when plugged in, which changes to white when the power button is pushed. then it cycles back and forth between amber and white about 30 times before finally staying solid white for about 5 seconds then back to solid amber.

i took the back off, and disconnected the psu from any other boards,...

Vizio xvt553sv reporting m470nv main board
    by chandan7
    Hi,

My Vizio xvt553sv recently stopped working after a power surge. After asking for help in this forum, I found that the mainboard needs replacement. I bought a mainboard with the exact matching number 3655-0122-0150 which the seller specified is for Vizio XVT553SV.

However, after plugging in the mainboard the TV I am noticing several issues.

    1. It does not boot up in one go. First it boots up for a long time then turns itself off and turns back on. And after the second boot up the TV stays on. The whole cycle takes a long time and happens everytime...
