Hi I recently picked this tv up from ebay. The fault is it comes on then turns itself off. I thought this would be a simple main board fault but I've tried another and its doing the same so I then tried a different power supply because weirdly just before the tv goes off the backlights flicker but still no joy. I don't think the backlights will be T fault as I've tried the tv with them unplugged and still no joy. The last time I had this fault on a Panasonic I just reset it by holding down the volume and power button if I remember rightly but this won't work either

Re: Panasonic tx-L42e6b turning off
Flickering backlights are often, but not always, a sign of faulty led(s).
Since you have changed the mainboard and the power supply I think you need to provide the voltages at the led connections to see what is happening.
Best to use a multimeter with a min/max function if possible.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

by RictechHello everyone. 😀
As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.
Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...-

by chockimonHello,
I bought a Panasonic 40" TX-40AX630B TV from Richer Sounds 7 years ago and it has developed a strange fault. If I attempt to press any button on the back of the TV or remote control (access media features etc.) the TV locks up for a few minutes or longer and sometimes goes blank. However, if I turn the TV off and on again and quickly select a channel it will work fine all day long, as long as I don't touch the remote or controls on the back of the TV.
I've tried changing batteries on the remote, changing plug sockets and doing other things such as a... -
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.
