Hi Guys,
Could some one please help me identify either the model of this set or the 8 pin dil ic in the start circuit. (I think its the start circuit).
The set belongs to a friend who took it to another repair company who kept the set for over two months, with out contacting him. (poor service).
Who ever looked at it appears to have put the wrong ic in the start circuit.
The ic that had been fitted was an LNK364PN. The specs' show it to have pins 1,2 & 7,8 common and being the source of the mosfet inside. However the print on the board suggests otherwise. see photo .
I tried electrotanya with all the numbers on the psu pcb, no luck.
the label on the back cover says the set was manufactured in 2004, but no model number.
The slightly swollen cap next to the chip lead me to the fault area, then I saw the burn mark, & the previous repairers work. see photo's
The only components that appeared to have been soldered on/replaced were the ic & transformer (see photo). Strange that the cap is only rated at 85 degrees.
Hoping that someone can help?
