panasonic plasma tx-p50xt50b and chip U203

Hi all im very confused about the chip im going to replace on 50" plasma tx-p50xt50b on PSU, its marked u203. I have the skimatic which matches my board, but when i went to ebay to buy the chip it does not seem to match the pins and what they do, i have uploaded pics so you can see my problem the pin that says N/C and the dot on the chip are in the same place but the pins and what they do are not. My board i have matches the skimatic i have, but the one on ebay allthough has my model number in picture shows pins doing wrong thing in wrong place, i can see how common this fault is by ammount sold has any one come across this problem that can point me in the direction of a match for my tv thanks all

Well in schematic the pin order is not representing real IC pin order, you can notice that one side is going 8 1 7 2 and if you check datasheet of IC you will see that connection is matching the IC pinout, so pin 1 in reality and schematic is Vin and so on.
Therefore get that IC (FAN6755U), put it in and don't worry

The pins on the schematic are not in order for ease of drawing and layout. Compare the numbers beside the pins on the schematic to you other picture they should match.

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
        by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

ASRock B650M PRO RS - BIOS CHIP 25Q256JW BLOCKED BY STATUS REGISTERS
        by DynaxSC
        Hi

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.

I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6...

        ----------------------------------------------------------

        Q: I have a bios request,i can`t post my backup as i can`t read from the chip.

A: If you can`t read from it how do you expect to write to it ?.

Q: Why is my bios chip unreadable ?.

A: The programmer is faulty or has a worn or broken zif socket.

The USB cable is frayed, connector pins worn or some other physical damage.

Not enough amperage or voltage to power the programmer properly.

        Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
        by jm1234
        Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Asus Chromebox CN62 - wrong chip put on BIOS reader
        by BMCappelletti
        Long story short:
        - dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
        - gave the computer to his son a couple years later
        - son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
        - too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
(seems like the story was not that short)

He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8...
