LG 47LW5600-UA - Thin Horizontal Lines...

I have been searching to find similar issues, but none are quite the same as mine. The horizontal lines I'm seeing are less than 1/4" apart, evenly spaced, black, and seem to become less prominent as you move from right to left when viewing. They are difficult to see for the most part, but they're much more obvious on a white background. There is no obvious wear on the ribbon, no oxidation, and every other connect seems tight. Any ideas? I recently drove the TV back from Atlanta to Charlotte to return it to a friend I had borrowed it from. It was secured and protected with cushions and pillows during the drive.

I tried adjusting the ribbon cables connecting the tcon board to the LCD panel, and the lines went away...briefly. I tried readjusting the cable and it cracked in the middle. I'm going to try replacing the cable before all hope is lost.

John, I had this exact same issue (single pixel wide horizontal lines evenly spaced and fading from left to right) happen to my LG 55LM8600 today. My extended warranty just expired so I'm looking to fix this myself. Unlike you, the TV hasn't moved since we moved 1.5 years ago, so I don't think the issue is physical damage. I had another computer on the same circuit have its PSU fail a few months ago, so I suspect it's voltage issues. I'm about to order the power board, but I was wondering if you had any luck with your repair?

i very much doubt that it is your ps, you could try to run the test patterns to rule out main.

good clear straight on pics of the whole back of the set and of each board will be a great start.

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
              by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
              by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
