Hey all, very new to this and have these colored vertical lines across the tv. I started by replacing the t-con board and that fixed it for about a week or two. I've searched youtube and forums, including this one, and articles for help. I cleaned the ribbon connections, baked boards, tapped on everything, moved everything, and even tried messing with the bonding tabs and nothing changes. Hopefully these pics will show what I'm seeing and maybe someone can tell me what is causing a working t-con to fail the same way the last one did or if I'm fighting a losing battle altogether. Thanks!

Re: Samsung un55d7000 vertical lines
Is this a newer symptom or an older one that I haven't asked the right question for the search to let me know some new avenue to try, inspect, or look? Behind the vertical lines it's such a beautiful picture I really hope I can get something sorted out. Hopefully someone could let me know what I haven't done or done right? -
Re: Samsung un55d7000 vertical lines
Did you try to freeze the BGA chips on the t-con board?
You can do that by holding a can of air upside down.(like the pc cleaning cans)
Spray in short bursts(you will see them freeze over) onto the 2 big chips in the middle of the t-con board while tv is on and observe picture.
I'm thinking you bought a weak(very weak) t-con board.Proud owner of dozens of broken TV's and many, many, many boards.

Re: Samsung un55d7000 vertical lines
Often with BGA chips(and this looks like a bga fault to me)when you freeze them you get a different result, telling you your on the right track. If that doesnt help can also try to heat it up with a hair dryer, should get worse then. But I always freeze first, quickest and most reliable results.
btw,if with freezing t-con nothing changes, maybe look at mainboard and freeze any large chips.Proud owner of dozens of broken TV's and many, many, many boards.

Re: Samsung un55d7000 vertical lines
Often a certain model has a certain common fault. Hence why I'm thinking you bought a weak t-con board.
Chances are the person stripped the tv cause he found it with a cracked screen, but in reality the original owner smashed the screen cause he was pissed that his expensive tv had died. Then dumped it or sold it,next guy finds it,assumes parts are good and sells all boards.

by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesnβt display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by polaroGreetings,
I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks... -

by AnonmisHello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.
The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly... -
by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... - Loading...
