    Samsung LN4A530 vertical lines

I have opportunity to buy this tv. It's listed locally for $50. Haven't contacted the seller yet. Wanted to see if you guys thought it was a panel fault.

Why you even bothering looking at ones like this ? I leave them if they have line faults every time unless I know its something fixable. Id say panel on this tbh. Only way you will learn what to buy and what not to buy is buy and see if you can fix it if not chuck away or even check the forum.

I look at them because I'm bored and like fixing things, so I look at all the ones listed locally as not working correctly.
      There aren't very many.

Ahh right I see, look for ones with power board faults etc bud would be my best advise. Screen faults like this are a pain in everyone's ass.

Screen lines are a free pick up only for me. I part them out and store it for some other time.

I look for all non working tvs. Lol. Like I said there aren't any. At least not bigger than 42". Can't even get $100 out of a working 42". So I don't even bother looking at those, they ask $40-50 for those when they don't work.

                    Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                    by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                    Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA vertical bars/horizontal lines
                    by x_orange90_x
I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
                    by polaro
                    Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
                    by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
