    Re: LG led Strip please

You could repair the strip using the stacking method.

New LED strips are not available at all.

Best you'll get (IF you're Very lucky) is one from a duff/cracked screen set, with X hundred/thousand hours on it.

Best fix is to get just the strip--from any large screen LG and cut it up for the LED's complete with lenses, remove the original and fix the replacement piggy-back style using heatsink plaster.

Like all LED sets, Regardless of make--They are Utter Crap, designed to fail--so when fixed--Turn Down backlight to minimum--or you'll be fixing it again in a few weeks when another pops it!

Wouldn't be easier to get these leds instead of doing the stack fix?

            You accidentally the whole question

That could / would work, but on one hand, you'll have a dark spot where the LED's missing, and the whole rest of the strip will end up being slightly brighter than before / the other ones.

That will also cause the other leds in that strip/series to fail prematurely and most likely with in short time.

Hi guys; forgive me to be so presistent on this ,I was thinking of ordering those leds and try repairing this strip, maybe punting some silicon paste to cover the hole and burn then solder wire pig tails to the led and solder it to the strip right in place and to get it firm to the strip maybe use some glue, what you guys think?

                    Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

                    220v Led strip flickering
                    by adelage
Hi, I am installing a long led strip and I noticed that it frequently flickers slightly, it is not a strong nor regular thing, but it is noticeable and annoying. I have measured the voltage of the mains and it shows some fluctuations, it normally stays at around 226v, but often (every few seconds) drops down to 218/219v), and the flickering happens exactly at the same time. I have measured this at the counter and with every appliance off, so it's not related to the house electrical system, but that's how it comes from the supplier.
I know that the best solution would be to get a voltage...

Adjustable dc power supply and tcl led strip
                    by benareeno
I wonder if i shorted the whole strip...where to put pos and neg to just light up a single diode...or the entire strip. The strip lit for a second...so maybe i fried it? What say you?

I have an adjustable dc power supply and was trying around 9 volts.

I have a pic of a single diode...where to put pos and neg terminals to light it up?

Pic of middle of strip..is this where i light the entire strip?

And pic of end...or does this light the entire strip?

Where to put pos and neg for single diode..multiple diodes and the entire...

Need help replacing led strip on Iiyama Prolite XUB2390HS monitor
                    by mikey5791
                    Hi,

Iiyama Prolite XUB2390HS presumably a 23 inch type given to me with suspected bad led backlight. To test it, i unplugged the bad flat ribbon type connector and plugged it a good flat ribbon led connector scrapped from a HP Pavillion 27cw (led strip with 60 led). Good news is the HP led strip lights up but not fully, in between there are about 15 unlit leds.(as picture attached shows).

Fyi, i had not opened and removed the old bad led strip. My question is whether is it possible to cut some of the extra leds(say...

                    Vizio M70-C3 LED Strip Repair
                    by bscottjohnston
Well, I'm kinda on a roll having fun fixing LED TVs. I have a question for those who have wandered into the arena of fixing your own LED strips. I bought a "cooker" on Amazon whereby it heats the strip so you can extract the LEDs. I successfully rebuilt the 10 of 16 that were bad. BUT - when I put the TV back together at certain times (white screen is really noticeable), I see what I would call a halo effect coming from some of the LEDs. The soldering station discolored the strip where I was working immediately.

Have any of you encountered this and if so what caused it?...
