    bad IGBT's found again

    I bought( 5 )RJP63G4 igbt's from a guy in san jose,ca for $10.
Thought it was a good deal untill the first one I installed fizzled and went short.
Same for #2. I checked the remaining 3 in diode mode, and nothing!
Checked them in resistance mode, open! How could they even short out??
I then robbed one off another board, and replaced q661 that blew with the second one, and it works as it should.

What would you suggest to use in place of them.
I had to use a smd one because of the thin 2011 panny.
