    VESTEL 17MB25-3 (red,blue green)

    Hello,

I'm repairing a TV OKI V26A-_H with main Vestel 17MB25-3.

TV turns on ok but it had solaried image and I enter in service menu and reset to faltory values, and activate "Burn in mode".

Now, TV turns on but only shows red, blue, green cycle. I can't enter on service menu.

I was "googling" and I think If I change eeprom 24C32 (U103) I can solve it.

    some idea???

    thx.

If this is correct then just buy a blank eeprom and replace the existing one although there must be a way of switching the set back to normal.

Simply press "menu" the Tv's menu will come up. Then press on the remote 4,7,2,5 then the service menu will come up. Go down to the bottom option which will be "factory reset" press the right across key on the remote then press the green button on the remote.

The tv will factory reset and the issue sorted.

Or in rare cases simply press "ok" on the remote and the Tv will be revived out of the burn in mode but if that fails do what I said before.

There had to be a simple answer. Problem is I didn't know it.
