Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On

I know! Can't get a break from this TV! What would I need and how much would it cost to fix this? or would it be so expensive that it would be cheaper to buy a new TV?

LCD panel is the most expensive part of the TV, not worth it.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On

Thank you guys for all your help. I really appreciate it! It really sucks to have gotten this far only to find out that the display is cracked. Already checked and doesn't seem like there even is a replacement display out there. I will inform the owner that he would be better off just buying a new TV. Thanks again for everyone's help!

That's too bad... all the work for nothing. However, I'd still like to know where the PSon / BLon signals are with the new board for future reference.

I will see if I can find it now and let you know where it's at.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On

Seems that the blue, white, and orange wires on CN901 go up to 3.3V when I turn on the TV. Hope that helps!

Just saved this same TV from a trash compactor. I have a great chance that it's just a board inside and doesn't have a damaged screen because it came from a Charter Spectrum division office. I am going to order the TV repair kit from shopjimmy.com and replace everything. Will update once I get around to the repair.
