Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Seems that the blue, white, and orange wires on CN901 go up to 3.3V when I turn on the TV. Hope that helps!

I will see if I can find it now and let you know where it's at.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Thank you guys for all your help. I really appreciate it! It really sucks to have gotten this far only to find out that the display is cracked. Already checked and doesn't seem like there even is a replacement display out there. I will inform the owner that he would be better off just buying a new TV. Thanks again for everyone's help!

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
I know! Can't get a break from this TV! What would I need and how much would it cost to fix this? or would it be so expensive that it would be cheaper to buy a new TV?

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Update!
The good new is, I ordered a main board and it just came in. I installed the new board and now the TV turns on! Finally!
Bad news....looks like the display is cracked...

Should I just buy the main board? Found one on ebay for $30.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Well guys, I have some bad news. Got the LED driver board in and hooked it up and still have nothing. Nothing happens when I try to turn on the TV. What should I do next?

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
I believe Budm asked about U900 and 904 as well but 902 and 903 are the AS3820's. ShopJimmy has a LED board for ~$18 so I will order one and hopefully that will fix the problem. If not, then problem is probably the main board?

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Guys, I have checked every pin on CN1, CN30, and CN901 and I do not see anything that goes from 0V to 3V when I try to turn on the TV. I thought maybe I was just missing it or something since nothing is labeled but I checked again and get nothing.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
CapLeaker, if my BL-ON is present what do I need to look for on the LED control IC's? Having trouble finding BL-ON so I'm hoping I can work backwards from the LED control IC's.

Took a break from the TV over the weekend. Still working on finding the BL-ON. I will let you guys know as soon as I find something.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Having a little trouble trying to find the BL-ON as nothing is labeled on these boards. I did find a pin coming from the main board that had 3V on it but the voltage never changed when I pressed the power button.
Budm, I got a picture of the wiring....

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
With TC901 being low is there something else I should check next? Should I get a new board? Replace TC901?

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
The 24VDC was on R9008 and 9010.
The voltage I am getting on capacitors TC903 and TC901 is
TC901=8.84VDC
TC903=12.54VDC

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Budm, I checked R9008 and 9010 and get 24.70v on both.
CapLeaker, I was able to check the top pins on CN202, the pins on bottom are kind of hard to get too. The pins on top show 24.7v at the power board and the LED driver board. The bottom pins I could check showed 0v, I am guessing these are ground. The backlights don't seem to do anything at all when you try to power on the TV.

If this isn't what you were looking for just let me know.
With the power cord plugged in these are the voltage readings I get for each pin on that connector.

Re: Vizio M492i-B2 Won't Turn On
Thank you for your reply CapLeaker. The fuse(s) seem to be good. I checked the STBY voltage at the connection on the power board and the main board and I am getting 5v at both connection points. I checked the filter cap as well and I'm getting 170V DC from that as well. What should I check next? Your help is really appreciated!
