    Vizio E371VL

So been doing some research on this unit. Found out they have EEPROM issues.
The unit I have will turn on and work for 5-10 minutes and then the screen turns into a mix of colored lines and the sound goes away and become a constant buzzing/scratching sound. Kind of hard to explain. Anyway never heard of EEPROMs causing issues like this. Or am I wrong?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Vizio E371VL Powers on, no backlight or picture, will not power off
    by afex
hello, I have a Vizio E371VL - the orange Vizio logo lights up while not powered on, changes to bright white when power button pressed but there is no picture.

There is no backlight, and I've done the flashlight test and cannot see any picture. The TV also will not power off using the button or the remote - I have to unplug the power cable to shut it down. The white light never fades out until unplugged. Its almost like its stuck in the powering up phase or something.

I bought a replacement mainboard and replacement power board. Neither have fixed the issue. It still...

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
    by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

    Vizio VO42L Issues: Need Guidance
    by ChillingCicada
We've had our Vizio VO42L since before 2010, and it's worked flawlessly this entire time. However, just recently it started emitting a high-pitched buzzing/humming sound. I followed the basic troubleshooting tips of just unplugging it for a moment, and even holding down the power button while doing so, all to no avail.

Furthermore, after I attempted these basic steps and powered the TV back on it would always begin visually flickering while the sound stuttered. After a few moments of being turned on this would go away, but it still periodically comes back.

    I also...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel
    by howardc64
    Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

    Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...
