Lg 60pg60fua occasional black horizontal line

I picked up this 2008 60" plasma. It has an occasional black horizontal line that briefly appears on the top half of the screen and then goes away. I pulled off the back and found that when I gently press on one of the heatsinks on the upper Y buffer board i can make the black bar appear. If I either press down gently or lift up gently on the heatsink, the black bar appears. When I release, the black bar goes away.

So I have a bad connection or short on one of the chips on the upper buffer board I suspect. It is very hard to find this part online, especially since I am from Canada.

Could a heatgun repair this? Oven reflow? Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

I did try re-seating all ribbon cables and the connectors to the YSUS main but no change. Maybe I will clean the connections with isopropyl alcohol and try again. Pressing on the middle IC chips reproducibly cause the black bar to appear so I think it is a chip connection issue. I might need to remove the thick glue strip holding the chip/heatsink assembly in place -for a closer look...

Worked fine for about 4 hours and then horizontal strip started acted up again due to heat.
The heatsink over the chips is sealed by a rubbery compound that I'm not sure how to remove.
Also seems next to impossible to find an upper buffer board for sale.
Does anyone have a spare part EBR38574601???

Samsung QN70Q6DTA Ghost or horizontal lines after tape fix horizontal line
            by Ihandyrepair
            Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
            by cubytus
            Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

Reader PocketBook InkPad 3 – identification of a black component marked 'CT' on the microUSB line
            by Maniackk
            Hello,

            Device: PocketBook InkPad 3
            Mainboard: XRZ_E091_PB740-VTTOA-V1.1 / 2017-10-12

I'm replacing the broken microUSB connector on this e-reader, and during inspection after desoldering, I noticed a loose black SMD component marked "CT". One of them was torn off along with the pad, while the other one (marked in the photo) is still in place.

I would appreciate help identifying this component.

Measuring the loose component with a multimeter gives 5.84 MĪ© in both directions, while the one still on the board shows no measurable...

LG OLED 55EG920V Black Screen with one line
            by fibcom999
Hi guys, I have aquired a LG 55EG920V for very small amout of money.

I have jumped the Power on, DRV_ON and 3,5v pins just for the screen to show a black screen with a green line offset to the left.

Connecting everything together, shuts the tv off automaticlly after a couple of second( LG protection?)

Tried with a spare MB and the original, both the same results.

But if i unplug the 12v rail to the tcon or the larger LVDS to tcon, the tv turns back to the one line and dosent shut off.

Could this be a tcon issue or something...
