    Samsung un32j5205

I have a 32" Samsung that will not turn on. I have power. The power button will light and flash like every other samsung when it starts. I do not have back lights or a tone when the tv starts. The power supply it built into the main board. When powered on the digital audio out lights up. There are two blue led lights on the t-con board. If all hooked up both lights stay on steady. If either lower cable to the screen is unhooked only the top light lights up. I have unhooked both lower cables, the cable to the t-con and unplugged the led lights and still no power on chime. I believe this is a bad program on the main board. Testing showed these voltages on the pin outs.

You have a failed Led in the Lcd screen, would you like a link to the video on how to test them ?

If i have a failed led would disconnecting them bypass them allowing the tv to start or does the circuit need to be complete?

the circuit needs to be complete. The LED's are strung like a X-Mas light chain. One goes out, the whole string goes out. So you have to take the panel apart and find the bad LED and replace it.

ok, lets start at the beginning. The tv power light will flash 6 times, I believe this is standard for samsung. I have no startup chime or display.

These are common faults with this set in the US,Main board replacement needed and not available in UK. we are just starting to see models failing with this type one board does every thing setup over here.

                          Solved!!

Check your power supply. Mine was only putting out 14v. The TV needs 19v to run. I replaced the power cord and all problems were solved.
