    vizio plasma vp422hdtva10 orange ligth dims out.

    I have this plasma tv vizio vp422.. I test every test Poit on power va and vs are good and X-sus & Y-SUS are ok.....what I think it is is the main board....what it does when I plug the Cord it clicks and no reaction if i click buttons...when I plug the cord I saw the vizio logo ligth at the battom turns bright orange and then it's starts to dim till it bearly can be seen, like from hi to low dim ligth..so any one had fix this problem..

      Test each of the 3 fuses on the top of the main board.
      Also test any voltage regulator on the main board as well.

        The first regulator from rigth to left...the middle leg is 2.99v 1.8v and 4.0v first leg.. other regulators are 3.3v on center leg and 1.8v center leg....

          What are the voltages on each side of F1, F2 and F4?

          What are the part numbers of U17, U21 and U22?

          Check the regulators for voltages according to this post......

            F1= 50.8v both sides....
            F2=11.9v both. ....
            F4=4.0v both. ....
            Regulator number ==G1117 on u21,u17,u22

              On u21regulator DC reading is 4.0v on the incoming voltage, center pin 1.24v, the last pin is 6.2v ?????

                Could you confirm 50.8 DC volts on F1! Are you measuring with your meter on DC volts and Red probe on the fuse and black probe on chasis ground?

                    On the connectors coming from the power supply to the main board, are any of those labeled on the power supply side?
                    50+ volts going into a main board just sounds too high!

                      There nothing like 50v on power...and I know it's to much.....what I do think is the fuse is not connected to nothing there no wire incoming fom the Power supply......I have another board for a vp422 but diferent serial and F1 does not have it install...

                        But what about the regulator u21 is normal the measure 4.0 in the incoming voltage and center pin at 1.2v and 6.2v on the out put voltage am I right.???

                          The way it i situated on the board, the top pin is the voltage input. The center pin(which is connected to the large soldered pin on the left) is the output.

                          No other numbers on the chips, ie....-16(1.6v) or -33(3.3v)?

                          If not, these are variable regulators. Add pin 1 voltage(bottom pin in this case, U21 only) + 1.25v and that should be the output voltage of the regulator. (+/- 5%)

                          Can't imagine why Vizio would have 50+ volts going into a mainboard.
