The contacts on the ribbons look OK. I should also note that I went back and pulled the one ribbon so I get 50% display and selected an input source, proceeded to input audio, and I get sound out of the TV too.

Was re-reading the thread because I am trying to get back to further testing. I'm game to check the T-CON board voltages with and without the one ribbon plugged in. However, I don't see test points that specifically call out these voltage sources. Is there a board diagram or list of the test point locations/names I should reference? I didn't see anything in the service manual.

This TV is famous for Bad Panel,i have same model# myself that i was able to repair it by replacing FP1 Fuse on T-con now it has a good pic and sound but ended up with a Vertical line,i have all good boards and a bad panel,if you have a good panel which i doubt,i can sell you the Main board and T-con board for cheap.

Re: the T-CON board - I know that the A board one has to be very specific to get the correct part number for the serial number range. Can anyone inform me as to how this works for the T-CON?

FS_HBC2LV2.4 is on the silkscreen and K2204G8B0CJK by the bar code. Is anything past the K2204 significant in looking for a replacement board that is compatible?

I had ordered a replacement T-CON board that arrived, at which point I ended up with the same functionality as the original one that was installed in the unit. The seller refunded my money, so I'm not sure if the board was ever tested or not.

Regardless, I'm guessing this increases the diagnosis of a defective panel? If that's the case I suppose I could part everything else out since I know the A board and power board are functional.

Normally when you remove one of the ribbon cables to the panel you have half a picture and when you remove the second ribbon (after reconnecting the first ribbon) you should still have half a picture on the opposite side of the screen.
