Hi, This is my first post. Reading through most...some...ok a few of the posts im amazed at the knowledge and time that alot of you put in and its given me the courage to go out and try to revive an old samsung LCD TV! the tv i got had the typical white/brightness with image outline. so i assumed from reading all the posts it was the AS15 chip. ordered some from Ali Express and waited...then after a month they turned up! As i dont have the tools or skills yet, i gave it to a friend who works as a Electronic Engineer to put the chip on to the board. but once i put it in and turned her on....the tv that is, it still has the washed out image?! so going off what you guys said about testing the voltages for the video gamma i proceed to check but found that the test points arent in numerical order? is this normal? the only points i could find i took readings from. these are as follows
VG1=15.2
VG2=14.96
VG3=NTP (NO TEST POINT)
VG4=12.31
VG5=NTP
VG6=10.64
VG7=NTP
VG8=9.95
VG9=NTP
VG10=7.87
VG11=7.62
VG12=6.69
VG13=6.93
VG14=NTP
VG15=4.81
VG16=NTP
VG17=4.19
VG18=NTP
VG19=2.89
VG20=NTP
VG21=0.52
VG22=0.29
VGMA=15.27
VGL =-6.11
V3D3 =3.31
VID2=1.2
Dont know what those last test points were for but thought it maybe of some help!
T-Con Board Number T370HW02 VC CTRL BD
unfortunately i didnt take readings before i pulled the T-Con out
just want to know if that VG13 being a little higher is what is affecting the gamma? may have been a bad brand new IC. or it could be slightly faulty contact.
thanks in advance! hope the photos are ok
