I HAVE THIS PLASMA WITH 7 BLINKS...what i did i took out the SC board out and test transistors and they all seem good.. i saw other posting and they say to jump the sc board but am lost there...could this be the SU and SD boards..any were to start doing..

7 blink can be SC,SD,SU.
Re-install the SC but leave the SD/SU disconnected and the 4 Vfg bolts(gnd bolts that earth these to the SC) connections SC41,42,46 not connected.
ensure sc2 and sc20 are connected.
next to the SC46 connector there is a 2 pin socket, sc50. Those 2 pins need to be jumped together.
Turn the TV on and if it turns on without 7 blinks then it's SD,SU or both.
You would then need to see which one is shorted or just replace both
Looks like Shopjimmy has heaps of these boards and fairly cheap. -

i don't understand the jumps one.
Are you saying you followed the bypass test and it's not 7 blinks but something else?
Are you saying it does 1 blink every 3 secs? If so then that's another issue and generally that is a bad A-board.Comment

Yes is 1 is every 3sec red ligth.... is anyone try to fix the board or just replace it..
I did removed bolts, jump the sc board , did the steps you gave me and that's the coming blinking ligth.....Comment

I've got lucky and fixed 1 blink finding corrupted eeprom and another i never fixed. You could have 2 faulty boards. Have you reconnected the sd su plus make sure the earth bolts go back and it 7 blinks again?Comment

i already fix it...the problem was the main board, and i find it at friends shop for 45bucks not bad....but were i can find the eeprom from this boards it might be a damage eeprom..Comment

Interesting, so the 7 blink was actually a main board issue too?
For the eeproms, there's actually several types and also flash ICs as well.
I don't know which one to try, it was the one that held the panel address data on the 2 I fixed but I've had no luck with 2009 model just 2010.
If it's corrupted data you could use a reader to copy off the good board and the write it to the corrupted one.
You can order these chips programmed from sears or encompass sparesComment

This is what I got as a list of all the eeproms etc for this model. May not be able to get all as I see some say restricted Panasonic use only.
I can't say for sure replacing any of these will be a fix unless you just want to have a play and see if you can.

anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults... -

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

My parents' Panasonic P42S30 died recently, and they asked me to have a look at it. I was able to identify the SN-board as the culprit, as it was shorted. After removing Q401, Q402, Q421 and Q422 the short was gone, so I replaced these components and that got the TV working again. However, when testing the tv a bit, I noticed quite bad pinkish sparkles on some colors. For instance the greyish bar on this forum seems to trigger it quite badly. I made a fullscreen test picture with only that color, with the below result.
There is about a 5cm high region at the top without any sparkles,... -
Hello, got a ST50 plasma TV for repair. No signs of life, not even blink codes. Opened it up to check the power supply, type MPF6914. Apparent issues from visual detection and measuring for shorts:
Diode type G972s6 - D101 with a short
Mosfet 06N90E - Q301 shorted
Fuse T5AH 250V - F103 blown
Diode D301 shorted
Relay DG1U-17VDC II - RL001 blown
I have not found a circuit diagram. Maybe someone here already dealt with a similar issue? Thanks for tips where else to check 😀...
