    Common failures SAMSUNG bluray soundbars

Symptoms are noise or stuck when the bluray door open:
Open the bar from back put out all the ribbon cables.Next go to the front of the bar and put out the laser mechanism by apply presure one the boton are 2 very sensitive pins.Make sure that the door is close when you put the mechanism out because you canot put it in again.
As you see in the photos put out the the mechanism and change the belt.
Also put grease on the gears.
Next sympton the bluray losing syhronization for 1 second or more during playback:
Clear the lens and check the ribbon cable (you see 3 of them one after another in photo)usualy the first one dont make right contact. Also grease laser rail and gears.
If the problem exist make a software update.
    The unit overheat:
This happen because the psu is sealed with a small fan to cool it.The quality of the psu is very good all the safety is there but if you keep the machine always on is better to cool it better.
Samsung home theater amplifiers have a big problem with heat a lot of them have corrupted eeprom on micropocessor and they dont put reset circuit...
And that because they seeling the amplifier and put a small fun..
The player is very demand dont play region free dont play dvd-R or DVD+r or RW if they dont finalize in DVD mode.If you put a mp3 disc with more that specific tracks cannot play also pal and ntsc matter so check the manual for full spec.Thats the problem big companies are very restrict in specs because they follow the law exactly.
The dvd work the bluray not always or say cannot play:
Make a software update if no fix the laser need to change.
Keep in mind that if the disc is not compatible also say cannot play disc.
Finally secure all the ribbon cables with a good tape when you finish.

Common Failures on a GE Fridge Board Example (WR55X10775, WR55X11072 200D4852G025)
    by JDC
I've worked on more than a few of these boards and the outlined parts in red seemed to be the most common. These board vary in parts, especially the number of relays on them. The part numbers listed in the title are examples.

These boards (like most appliance boards nowadays) have a kind of protective shellac coated on them. I use professional strength Good Off on solder joins to remove what I can so I can get good contact with my meter leads.

A schematic exists showing what each relay is responsible but I don't have that handy right now....

Operating frequency for motherboard common mode inductor/filter
    by J_T
I have a question - I have replaced the PSU on my own iMac Pro. However, when removing the motherboard I knocked of a 120 OHM 30% 0.3A small surface mount common mode inductor/filter (~0602 size) in the ethernet circuit near the female RJ45 port.

The closest match I can find on Mouser is 120 OHM common mode inductor at 100MHz - my question is this frequency correct for a motherboard? The schematic for the motherboard only provides '120 OHM 30% 0.3A' and the TDK part number does not return anything in google.

Sorry, I am not experienced hence a basic question.

Sonos Play 1 pulsing power supply
    by Goldwing1973
I'm rather new to repairing electronics, i do know the basics of most components but never actually repaired a PCB, but i want to change that.
So, i bought a faulty Sonos Play 1 speaker with the intention of finding the fault, and replace the damaged part.
Well, i did find the fault, i replaced parts that i thought caused the problem, but no-go.

The problem is a pulsing power supply, when i connect the mains to the board and hook up my thermal cam i see R306,307 and 308 getting warm, but i assume that's normal.
But, whats is not normal is the pulsing of resistor...

HP ProBook 450-G2 LA-B181P - What is a common resistance?
    by Jane
I have faulty HP ProBook 450-G2 LA-B181P - doesnot start. When connecting a charger, the LED on plug in connector blinks from yellow to blue. (I tried to search a short on mainboard.)
What is a common resistance ( to ground ) I should measure on a coil that leads to VGA chip(RT8880CGQW) ? I measure only about 9.6 Ohms. Is it normal?

Carrier HK50AA063 display controller common failure help
    by ctroxtell
I've got a control display for a Carrier chiller that I'm trying to understand what the common failure with these boards are. This is the board in question https://www.supplyhouse.com/Carrier-...arquee-Display all of them seem to develop a failure with the up and down arrow buttons on the right side of the display, the esc and enter keys I've never seen fail. Once these boards are plugged in they run 24/7, you used to have to press extremely hard with the end of the blunt screwdriver and you could still get the arrows to work but now it has completely stopped working. The button...
