Alright Budm, I will try to trace it back. Not sure if this is more than 2 layer board but it's hard to see where the traces are going.

I'll get the panel spec and # up asap. The panel id sticker is under a piece of strut..

    Again I appreciate it!!!

The service manual has the diagram for the main board?
Sorry, yes there are schematics but they are really broken up into bits. I'll attach the schematics here.

did you try it with the video cable from the main to the t-con unplugged?
i would incase there is a short on the t-con pulling it down.

It'll be 6 or 8 layers, almost always...the density of these designs, even on the basic sets, is surprising.

I'm back at it! I love this stuff lol.

BTW, we can look up the LCD panel spec to see if the T-CON is running on 5V or 12V just to be sure
            V315B1-L01

It appears to be 5V but not 100% sure. CHI MEI pdf attached.

            Power Supply Voltage Vcc -0.3 6.0 V
            Input Signal Voltage VIN -0.3 3.6 V (1)

Thanks stj. I tried that and no change at all.

lol! Yeah that's a bit more than 2!

You can trace out the Source pin, it should lead back to the either 12V or the 13V terminal of the power connector.
Okay traced source back to 5.3V pin on connector.

If you use 1K resistor between GATE and Ground then you should be able to force on that MOSFET.
I connected resistor and the drain voltage came up to 5v.

Still same symptoms unfortunately. I'm going to keep looking at the schematic to see if I can find anything else to look for.

                Interesting development...

Removed the temporary Gate to ground resistor. PANEL_VCC goes back to 0v.

However, if I unplug the connector to the inverter, PANEL_VCC rises to 5.4v.

Soooo... could this be an inverter issue???

                  maybe.
does it all work without it?

ahh man... looks like it was another bonehead move on my part. I think the friggin temp resistor lead was accidentally grounded when I measured the 5.4v... (I have the resistor soldered on the end of a short lead since the mosfet in on the bottom)

So back to "no panel_vcc" and not working when I force the mosfet on either.

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                      by Asraf Atb
                      Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

Compatibility of main boards between different variations of samsung MU6100
                      by JSin21
                      Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;

I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01

Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...

Compatibility of Samsung Y Main boards LJ92-01732A no rev vs rev AA2
                      by Yanleb
Hi, I did look everywhere to know if Samsung Y Main boards LJ92-01732A without rev marking is compatible with LJ92-01732A rev AA2.

If they are not compatible why did Samsung give them the same part number to begin with?

Samsung HG75EJ690UB Hotel TV, change main?
                      by elpatxi_bcn
                      Hello!

I just got a Samsung TV model HG75EJ690UB 75" and 4K. It is a hotel TV, with a slightly different version of the Tizen operating system than the TVs at home.
Being a hotel, it is covered in many functions. With the service menu I can unlock some, but not others. For example, I can't install apps like Netflix etc...
The fact is that it seems that I can replace the main by a, say, "normal". I think the one that corresponds is NU7105, ref BN94-02635. At work, which is a convention center and a hotel, I have many TVs from 55" to 85" that...
