    Sony kdl-46ex700 wont power on

    Tv has standby light on front power supply has stay ,clicks relay once when plugged in then clicks a second time 5 sec later. Here are my voltages in stby

    Main filter caps each 168v

    Cn6150 plug to main board

    0v tcon on
    0v tcon 12v bcc
    0v dimmer
    0v dimmer
    0 bl on
    0v reg 12v
    0v reg 12v
    0v reg 12v gnd
    0v reg 12v gnd
    0v audio 12v gnd
    0v audio 12v
    0v power on
    3.3v a.c. off debt
    3.3v stay

    Cn6151 plug to tcon
    0v 12v gnd
    0v 12v gnd
    0v 12v vcc
    0v 12v vcc

    When power button is pressed I get

    Cn6150 plug to main
    0v tcon on
    0v tcon bcc
    1.6v quick flash dimmer dc
    .5v quick flash dimmer
    0v bl on
    3.3v quick flash bl err
    12.8v regulated till relay clicks about 3sec
    12.8v regulated till relay clicks about 3sec
    0v 12v reg gnd
    0v 12v reg gnd
    0v audio 12v gnd
    12.8v audio on
    3.3v ps on
    3.3v a.c. off debt
    3.3v stay

    Large filter caps go to 392v

    Cn6800 backlight plug

    Out 1- flashes to about 190v
    Out 2- flashes to about 190v

      Well the 0V measured on the BLon pin isn't doing any good when the TV is on. That comes from the main board.

          So bl on voltage comes from the main board. What is bl on exactly,

              BLon = Back Light On.

              STBY voltage is on all the time from the power supply and that gets fed to the main board. When you turn on the TV with the button, the main board sends PSon (power supply on) and BLon back to the power supply. It in turn will turn on all voltage rails and the back light. TV is on.

              Check again the PSon and the BLon at the power supply with the TV on.

                  I double checked and I get no bl on voltage when the TV turns on. It only turns on for a few seconds then shuts down. I have to unplug and reset to get it to turn on again. Is it shutting down into a protection mode. Also I have voltage to the lamps.

                          I have 7 blink error, flow chart leans toward bal board aka main board, I guess without
                          Bl on voltage coming from main board I have to go with it before panel.

                                  Buenas mi nombre es carlos me uni al foro porque estoy buscando el schematic de una sony vaio pcg-41217u otras formas de escribirlo son 1p-0117j01-a012 mbx-237 numero de placa revision 1.2 o Sony VPCSB (MBX-237), en fin me gustaria y ayudaria un monton si alguien me puede dar dichi svhematic para hacer las mediciones de una laptop de la mencionada anteriormente(Sony VAIO PCG-41217U) con el fin de repararla dejo de funcionar solo prende el led de la bateria al pulsar el boton de power el disco empiesa a hacer ruido de actividad pero los leds del frontas no reflejan acividad y no enciende la pantalla....

                                  Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

                                  Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me.
