Yes i think so. Here are some pictures of the powerboard etc..
Number of the power supply is bn44-00162a

Ps: i measured the big capacitor on the right the 250v 850uf an i got only 685uf
Do you think that is the problem i already ordered a new one.

Ok, wait for it to fail. Then heat the Psu with a hair drier, the small caps near the yellow one tend to go bad which causes intermittent standby. Heating them should make them work.

I have heated the psu where the small capacitor is near the yellow one and the tv won't start. I measured it with an esr meter and gives me 21uf and 2,0ohm( i think 2 ohm is bad for an 50v 22uf capacitor. I will replace it but i think that its not the problem.

                                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Schematic or datasheet for Plasma TV buffer chip

                                          Hi all,

I'm interested in understanding how a buffer board chip is working. I know there's about 90 outputs per chip to the plasma panel, but I'm more interested to know about the input pins. I guess that some of them are address pins, but I want to know more.

So far I've found nothing at all. I haven't found any datasheet about the various buffer chips, and I haven't found any schematic for the buffer board using them (Y Buffer Board in Samsung's terminology).

Any information will make me happy. It can be from any buffer chip or plasma TV manufacturer....

LG42PC3D -UD originally with green lamp but no display or audio.
Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
                                          All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.

Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V

Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....

                                          Hello ,
The issue with this set is that it turn on just fine and after a minute or so the picture shows either vertical lines or turns half black and from that point on starts a boot loop.
If a let the unit to cool down for a minute the same pattern starts again. i had exactly the same mainboard as a spare and replaced it but nothing changed.

                                          Any ideas what to check?...

Hi all, after several attempt, I finally got a working CH341 Pro working USB device. Now I'm able to read dump the BIOS

When I verify the image (800G6_EC_RCunlocked.BIN found on this forum) I receive "Buffer data does not match SPI chip!". I tried different programmer but the message is the same. Anyway, I removed the password but I see at the boot the HP Message:

                                          "HP Endpoint Security Controller Problem"

When I hit OK, the boot continues and I'm able to use the computer. Did. the SPI chip not match error caused the error?
                                          ...
