Hi guys, I am a serious luker to these forums!! So much info! Thanks to you all!
So I have this Vizio M470NV and it is VERY tempermental. It likes to work after being unplugged overnight. Once running I have not Had it quit unless I changed applications. Its the first "smart" Tv I have gotten my hands on, so I would like to get it working.
It blinks when turned on( when it doesn't really turn on). After being on (Logo White) it then sometimes will respond to the remote(mostly), but sometimes only responds to the hardware on/off button kind of a crap shoot which one. Seems as though the main board is not telling the PS to turn on. Stand by is Good, when Main actually turns on the PS all voltages look good. I am wondering about the history of these tv's because the main board has been visibly been repaired already. The cage (around the main processor?) is desoldered.
I just ordered (a long time wanted) hot air station, thinking maybe some of the joints are not good under the processor???
Any Thoughts or suggestions?
Could it be a flaky power supply or more likely a min board chip issue? I read of a recall for this tv with "bad chip placement". Could it even be firmware?
Thanks guys
