Re: e701i-a3 no picture but backlights
Hey Guys, just wanted to say thanks to ALL involved! I was able to save this 70" bad boy! It's now my primary TV.
A little spin as to what I was reading in the thread. Admittedly I did not read the whole 40 pages.
So I had a different transistor that seemed to be shorted. I did not remove it from the board for testing. So I looked for all the correct voltages and found them!? I thought for sure the Tcon would have shit itself?
So anyway, I isolated the side with the bad chip and took the ribbons off and she was good!...

Panasonic sc boards TC-50GT30 & another Pan 50"
Hey guys I have a couple panasonic plasma TV's with bad sc boards. I have replaced the IGBT's on both boards(the ones that were shorted). When I power them back up they both end up shorting another IGBT on the board.
I get using fets/igbt's to power up a transformer but I don't understand the theory behind what these "switches" are doing?
Maybe then it would be easier for me to figure out the issue I am having.

Frustration With elactronics and Its tools!!!
I know I am cryin a bit here......
I am a total noob to the electronics world. I got in to fixin tvs about 2 years ago. I have been reading like crazy.
So here is my gripe:
CAPACITORS!!! I got an ESR meter after getting burned a couple times with caps that had good capacitance but still didnt work.....OK so I now have this ESR meter that should tidy up all the other Hiding BAD caps....Not so much. Just recently I tested a capacitor that was clearly bulging, good capacitance and good ESR. So Next Cap: I replaced a voltage regulator down stream and fired...

Re: sanyo dp50719
OK, so I guess it does have a timing board. I think it could be the main board that's having issues....Jst was looking for others advice on the matter...
Thanks!

sanyo dp50719
Hey guys, I have a sanyo dp719 that after a power failure began to do some weird things. It began running for 2-5 hours and then just shut off, no picture issue ...just shut down. That failure began to become more frequent. Sometimes it would last an hour, sometimes 30 seconds and any time in between. Now it displays weird image issues...they have not been the same? sometimes vertical lines, but mostly crazy colors on things and some duplicate images scattered diagonally across the tv with " colors/Noise" (not sound) in the picture.
Is this a main board issue ...or another board....

Re: samsung UN60EH6003F Can I repair T-Con?
Hi Bud, Thanks for the reply! I tried looking up IC7100 for 30 min or so...could not find the exact component. I did find something that led me to believe the chip ZI found would measure voltages? The updated picture is what I have so far...
BTW ...the wiring diagram I got with the download was just the cables going in between the boards!!!! I was so happy.....,then so pissed, when I opened it...

samsung UN60EH6003F Can I repair T-Con?
Hey Guys, I have been reading quite a bit on and off for years here! I will start off by saying I am a hobbyist. It's hugely satisfying and hugely frustrating!!
I am hopeing someone may be able to help me with some schematics for this chassis and maybe some help with common failure points of T-Cons...?
Voltages off the pwr supply is good,Sound is ok , backlight is on, this tv has a rep for tcons ...so I am fairly confident its shot.
I have been able to repair one tcon with a shorted cap( in parallel with 6 others). But that was pretty easy to locate.
The fuse...

Vizio M470nv Main Board Troubles
Hi guys, I am a serious luker to these forums!! So much info! Thanks to you all!
So I have this Vizio M470NV and it is VERY tempermental. It likes to work after being unplugged overnight. Once running I have not Had it quit unless I changed applications. Its the first "smart" Tv I have gotten my hands on, so I would like to get it working.
It blinks when turned on( when it doesn't really turn on). After being on (Logo White) it then sometimes will respond to the remote(mostly), but sometimes only responds to the hardware on/off button kind of a crap shoot which one. Seems...

Re: Panasonic TC-P42S1 Plasma "A" board issue
Thanks TW but its 9Blinks.
I am aware that there could be corrupt or damage IC's....I am really hoping to find a repairable component ...

Re: Panasonic TC-P42S1 Plasma "A" board issue
well luckily my "better judgement" got thr best of me
I looked at both dc-dc converters and saw steady 5vdc comming in and 3.3vdc comming out(before power supply shut down. I am still hunting and pecking to find some kind of issue.
BTW, thanks for taking the time to look! I know it took me 15 min just to find the components I was looking for in there!!

Panasonic TC-P42S1 Plasma "A" board issue
Hey guys, thanks in advance for your help!! I have gotten some great info and help from U guys!!
Ok, so, this tv has the 9 blinks error. " No communication between Sys MPU and Panel MPU"
Both these chips are located on the "a" board. Sys MPU is IC1100/ Panel MPU is IC9003. I am no electronics tech but I am super cheap and I deal with low voltage controls every day. I did some basic checking and I found that the STD_3.3VDC is comming from the "K" board (I think). The 3.3vdc is just fine comming in on the connector. When I check the 3.3vdc on the...

Re: Audiovox FPE3205 Powersupply no Standby Voltage
So I need to update, After resoldering the heatx the standby voltage is now (.468 VDC). The caps all look good(I know that doesnt mean much). I am definately an amature, but I am pretty good at soldering and following directions.
My girl is moving out so I have been getting TV's from the local dump in hopes of fixing one for her. I would gladly part out the TV's to people who may need parts. I will put the models in the next post. Just pay shipping and the parts are yours...Unless the shipping is cheap, then dont worry...

Audiovox FPE3205 Powersupply no Standby Voltage
Was wondering If anyone had some experience or schematics for this TV?
Power supply has no voltage at all comming out. Found some bad solder joints on some heat sinks but that was it . Fuses are good...
