    Vizio VF550M no audio output except toslink

    from the information i have gathered it sounds like the audio ic chip
    the only thread i could really find on these forums that had the same symptoms was in this thread.

    what i would like to know is:
    is the pictures almost identical to the ic that i need to replace?
    same location as far as where the internal speakers connector is and the ic heatsink?
    also would anyone know the exact ic number already so i can google it and see the price and if it is also smc and the pitch of the leg spacing?

      Good morning everyone,
      I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.

      The firmware reported is the following:
      M:1.00/11107BLP
      D:?.??/????????
      O:1.00/11107AL

      The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.

      I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

      Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

      I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

      The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

      With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      I bought three from Vetco Electronics these are Sylvania ECG5185A 9.1@10w A to Stud what size and watt resistor do I need to use to get near 10 watt output
      I bought three of from them to also make battery packs with this output power limit in mind

      I want to use this battery pack and turn it into a 9.1 output battery pack output to eliminate using 9 volt battery...

      Looks like I may need a little help from the PSU experts (or anyone really! ) I have a Corsair CX750M (Model 75-002019) that I picked up for free about 4 years ago. This is the PSU:



      So here’s what’s strange about this one: it appears to work normally (normal output voltages) and any PC is stable with it.       Would someone please help troubleshoot a Vizio 47" TV Switch Mode Power Supply with 5 volt output fluctuating voltage. The voltage fluctuates at 5 the volt output and at the Pulse Switch Modulating IC at VCC. I have the following notes:

      1. The 3 main filter caps all have approximately 167 volts steady
      2. I have replaced 4 mosfets next to what I think is called the inventor transformer (big black transformer) pictures attached
      3. I have replaced Fuse F102 with an equivalent
      4. I have check all diodes and caps and they seem to be ok
      5. I replaced the 431...
