very odd...the board with the fried hdmi port seems to have voltages everywhere....i get 36v going to led......i have never tested tv with the board with the fried hdmi port...could the tv actually work with that bad board?....i got the tv from someone who had the...whic replacmeent board in it which is dead with that board....

he never told me why he repalced the board in the first place...but he gave me the board with the fried hdmi port anyways....

okay so this means that your primary side is functioning so we have to figure out where your standby voltages are. Is there a part number on that board?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

          ocosmo board A13082145

it does seem the fried hdmi one is getting voltages..but im sure it wont power tv on since hdmi is fried

but maybe if i found out which part is bad on the replacement board i can swap part?

You could start by checking voltage regulators in the primary side or resistors for being an open circuit feeding the secondary side 5 volt standby.

update.....sony kdl 46ex645 is a main board issue..the hdmi port is also fried....i get fgood coltages out of ps...so im pretty sure the main board is causing no standby light and wont power on...i do have standby voltage coming from ps....so

also the jvc tv i believe is a bad led driver board since i dont have any voltage going out of driver board but i do have 24v coming in

also the ocosmo tv is a main board issue also.....the replacement board that i have is bad...i get no standby voltage at all....but i do have good 170v coming out of primary side of board...and the 4 caps in the center of board i only have small voltages coming out of those....i am hoping to locate the bad part and swap it out with the fried hdmi board since i do get good voltages on it and standby light is on..but it wont power on ....i get good standby voltage...the fried hdmi must be casuing a power on issue

bad news....the main board for the sony is like 120.00

looks like im not going to be fixing it...its not worth spending 120.00 on any lcd tv today

this sucks....the board should be like 40.00

there are none on ebay at all....shop jimmy has it but its expensive

                        by HarryZ
Aloha. First post here, hope I can find someone to assist me.

I have a Sony XBR49X800G with streaming issues. The issue mostly occurs watching sporting events (basketball and football). The picture will sometimes get pixelated, sometimes freeze for a few seconds while the audio continues, sometimes it's jerky. In other words, you get a headache watching the TV.

My ISP provides 500 Mb service and I have verified that I have at least 500 Mb on ethernet, and something over 300Mb on WiFi. I installed Analiti on the TV (it's an Android TV) and I get ~ 70 Mb on both WiFi...

                        Sony Android TVs eMMC Issues
                        by PontyPCs
                        Hi people.

I have been trying to get my head round these issues with the eMMC putting the TV in to a boot loop condition, or completely dead, when a dump of the Boot 1, Boot 2 and USERDATA partitions have been made, the MLC lifetime counter has been reset, using the original eMMC with the RPMB partition intact and the eMMC is flashed with the original dump, Netflix and a few other Apps don't work. i assume all the DHCP keys and factory programmed RPMB access Key will be contained within the original dump, and as we are re-flashing the original eMMC i would expect every thing to work....

                        Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
                        by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                        CN6401
                        Pin 01 NC
                        Pin 02 NC
                        Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
                        Pin 04 "N/C"
                        Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                        Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                        Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
