Re: 37bv700b flashing led
I'm not arguing the facts with you and Whilst I appreciate what your saying reecy mine does not so let's assume that is a symptom of the fact Its faulty.... I have replaced the power supply and now the TVs on and working so it's clearly a faulty psu.
However I would like to try and find the cause of this failure. Now if you say it should run and mine isn't what could cause that and the fact as previously pointed out that the ps_on is stuck in high.

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
On these units when you disconnect they will run the voltage rails, and before you say other wise I will upload a video to prove it. So your orginal Psu was at fault.Leave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
No voltages when main disconnected. Fitted new psu that I had and to works so fault on psu. Need to find where.Leave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
But did you try having the main board disconnected from the power supply board as suggested to see if you do get the Voltages on those switched Voltages?Leave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
I know the basics but nothing advanced. Can check fuses, resistors and diodes. Not sure about caps and ic's etc
But I would like to get to the bottom of this, so if ps-on is stuck HI, what switches it to LO?Leave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
2.8V on pin 6 (ST_BY) This signal should be <1VDC for the main power supplies to be turned on.
1.6V on pin 12 (+12V_1)
5v on pin 14 (+5VSTBY) OK
3.3V on pin 16 (+3.3VSTBY) OK
1.6V on pin 11 (+12V_1)
3.3V on pin 15 (+3.3VSTBY) OK
.5V on pin 17 (+5V)
.5V on pin 19 (+5V)
.5V on pin 21 (+5V)
See how much it is easier to see what you have and do not have?
So the ST_BY (PS-ON) from the main board is stuck HI when power switch is activated, it needs to go LO to turn on the rest of the power supply. When you disconnect the cable from the power supply to the main board that should force on the rest of the power supplies to come on.Last edited by budm; 10-16-2015, 01:59 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
Using a different meter volts are as follows
8.6v on 4
2.8 on 6
1.6v on 12
5v on 14
3.3 on 16
1.6 on 11
3.3 on 15
.5v on 17
.5 on 19
.5 on 21
No other voltageaLeave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
Given that the tv goes into fault mode as so as its powered on and in standby.... Could the lack of voltages be the causeLeave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
That cant be right you will need 12v and 5v, retake your readings and make sure the probe makes contact with the pin on the connectors.Leave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
With main board unplugged I have no voltages. With main in I have
1v on 6
7v on pin 4
3v on 12
2v on 14
2v on 15
0v on all othersLeave a comment:

Re: 37bv700b flashing led
Ok unplug the Mainboard from the psu, then plug the psu into the mains these power supplies will run with out the Mainboard connected. You should have the following:
Inverter connector:
24v Dc
Mainboard connector, probe the pins be careful when probing these not to short them out:
3.3v
5v stby
5v
9v (only some)
12v
24vLeave a comment:

by STKR123As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.
As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.
There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,... -
by H34TORecently I've gotten into EC flashing due to my broken laptop(s) and started frantically searching methods for flashing the IT5571E-128 chip on the cheap(due to me beaing a student and not having a job) and noticed that ITE newer chips can be flashed via ISP (In-System Programming) either via SMBus or the KBC (EPP - Enhanced Parallel Port) interface. While these can be achieved with programmers like SVOD4/3 or the RT809H/F those options are WAYYY out of my budget so I was horrified. But recently I stumbled uppon some programmers on aliexpress that claim they can program a variety of ITE chips...06-17-2025, 07:17 AM

Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
Have a Pioneer VSX-1021 that goes to MCACC flashing as soon as it is plugged in.
If I enter release mode, it powers on, the screen display is correct, but then it shuts down and goes back to MCACC after a few seconds. I can shut it down to standby (w/o flashing MCACC if I hit the power button as soon as release mode finishes the boot sequence).
Entering reset mode and executing a reset doesn't change this.
I am unable to enter service mode to see the error counts - Enter + Power button doesn't do anything, whether from normal standby or from MCACC flashing....-

by YellowJacketHi folks,
DELL Latitude 5410, board number FDZ41 LA-J371P Rev: 1.0 (A00), schematic uploaded in different post, here is the link --> https://www.badcaps.net/filedata/fetch?id=3484415
When I connect it to a power ( DELL round charger, or USB-C ), LED on the power button starts flashing white, and the laptop doesn't do anything ( flashing slows for a very brief time in time when I press it, but it continues again ). Battery is not charging. While the charger is connected, I have few voltages present, but some of them are fluctuating, see attached pictures.
All I was able... - Loading...
