Need help changing source input on cracked screen

Hello. I am having an issue with various cracked screen TV's that I buy where I cannot verify that the HDMI ports are working. I believe the problem is related to lower end models (maybe) that do not auto detect the input upon power up. This TV in this example has the source button and also an input button. Is there a way to change to HDMI input blindly? Again..I assume because the TV has a MENU button, that it is turning on directly into a menu screen. Maybe there is a standard key sequence to get to a HDMI port?.

I also should mention the obvious that I tried the source button but no luck getting an active input signal...thus I believe it is in a menu screen

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help changing source input on cracked screen

The screen is cracked so I cannot see any video. I am trying to verify if the main board is working properly so that I can re-use it. So I need to verify video and sound are working.

Hope that helps clarify what I am trying to do...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
          by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

I need help with my friend Sony GDM-FW900 24” CRT
          by matthewmcconaughey
Hello, Badcaps is my last resort. I am the first owner of the monitor. I reached almost every repair store in my area, but no one even wanted to hear about troubleshooting an old CRT monitor. At this point, I have been trying to figure it out by myself, but I have no idea where to start or look for.

I wish to know how to think and locate a failing component. I will put all my efforts to learn and contribute.
          1. It started with a bright and greenish picture upon starting a cold monitor.
          2. About 2 years ago, only on the cold boot, the screen started to occasionally flash with

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
          by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

820-02020 Super Weird Issue: Keyboard Input Character Map "Wrong"?
          by ugamazing
So, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:

          1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.

          2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not...

          Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
          by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
