  • Stand Legs Screws - Standard Size?

    Hello.

I am in need of ordering replacement stand screws for a few different TV's...TCL / Vizio / Hisense. They all seem to be similar screws. I think they are M4 x ??. Does anyone happen to know what the most common size and length size is and where I can get them in bulk?

Thanks for any recommendations in advance.

    Thin Vertical Line

Hello. As you will see in the pictures my Vizio has a thin vertical line. Is it worth the effort to take the screen apart to try to fix this? Is it possible to fix or is the screen basically bad?

    Thanks...

  • Re: Headphone Jack Repair assistance needed

And I assume since the pads were all ripped off when the jack broke off the board, my only option is to trace the connections to the nearest component, correct? Looks like everything is surface mount on this board...

    Budwich / R_J,

Thanks to both of you for your help.

Just to confirm, Budwich you are suggesting that I contact pins 4 and 5 together and that should do it.

R_J, I believe you are in agreement with Budwich, although you call out pins 3,4,5 in your example. I assume you are suggesting that if I cant find solder pads for 4 and 5, to simply trace the circuit from damaged pad to nearest component, which would also apply if I were to install a new jack, requiring 6 traces to be mapped.

  • Re: Headphone Jack Repair assistance needed

    Hello R_J and others,

So I verified that the jack is indeed the PC-311D. The problem I have is that the jack was somehow ripped from the main board, taking the solder pads with it. So I am not sure how to jumper the two rear pads or even replace the jack with a new one. Am I out of luck and need a new main board or is there a way to jumper those connections? I have soldering skills but these new boards seem to be a challenge for a problem like this..

    Thanks

There are 2 pads on one rear side and 1 on the other rear side. I assume you mean to simply jumper the two furthest rear pads on the main board with a wire, not including the 3rd pad, correct? Just want to be sure..and appreciate your help!

    Thanks..

  • Headphone Jack Repair assistance needed

Hello. I recently received a TCL TV with a damaged/missing earphone jack. I would like to see if there is a way I can jump the connections on the main board to make it think the jack is installed. Currently, the TV is locked in earphone audio mode thus no sound. Otherwise I will have to install a new jack. I thought I would see if there is a way to jump the pins to make it bypass. Any help would be appreciated. Earphone Jack normally is located on bottom left corner of board in pictures...thanks for your assistance..

    Thanks...

  • Sharp LC-50Q7030U Disassembly Help

Hello. I am trying to figure out how to take apart a Sharp LC-50Q7030U TV. It has the common structure of a plastic cover that provides access to the main board and PS that covers about 1/2 of the back of TV lower middle. The rest of the TV is basically a metal housing that protects the screen. I am having trouble figuring out how to take it apart to get to the screen. Does anyone have access to the service manual or experience on how to take the metal housing apart for access to the panel? I need to replace the panel with a good spare that I have..thanks in advance for any assistance..

  • TV Tool Kit Sharp LC-50Q7030 Series and Others

    Hello.

I was wondering what tool kit is recommended for taking apart the latest model of TV's. A good example is a Sharp LC-50Q7030U. I want to remove the panel from the metal frame and it looks like there are multiple micro screws or similar. They are so small it is difficult to tell if they are screws or other. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks...Joe

  • Samsung UN65KS6500 - boards have no screws - clips instead - how to remove

    Hello.

I just picked up a Samsung curved TV model UN65KS8500. To my surprise, the main board and power supply do not have screws, but rather "Clips" of some sort that secure the boards. I cannot seem to release the boards. Short of damaging them, is there a trick to removing the parts? Maybe there is a special tool required?

    Any help is much appreciated..thanks

    Re: E701i-A3

Actually I was a little fast in my explanation. What happens when I turn on the TV is that it will start to flicker (the backlight). Picture is fine to start. Then after 5 minutes I lose all video and sound continues to work fine. Is this a known problem with the screen or more likely a TCON problem?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    E701i-A3

    Hello.

I was given a Vizio E701i-A3 and when I turn it on the screen flickers. Video and sound seem ok. Before I open it up and troublshoot, I was wondering if this is a bad screen issue or a board failure. Has anyone had the same issue with this model?

any information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • Re: Sharp LC-46D65U Blinking - need code info

    Hi Will62..

the components circled in RED,,,did you do that based on past experience as being the problem for this error or was that hard coded in the documentation...just wasn't sure if you are also saying that those components are usually the problem..thanks...

  • Sharp LC-46D65U Blinking - need code info

    Hello.

I have a Sharp LC-46D65U that has a blinking code that I have not run across before. The code is as follows:

OPC / Power - both blink together 1 time
    Power - blinks 1 time.

    This then continually repeats.

I tried the reset options and the Power Light will come on, but no sound or video. I cannot turn the TV on or off with the side buttons.

If I unplug it and turn it back on, the blinking code returns,,,has anyone encountered this particular problem before?

    thanks...

  • Vizio TV Legs Screw size

Hello. I have a few Vizio TV's with the Legs but no screws. I know they are M4 in most cases. I was wondering if anyone has a list of the various mm screw lengths for the newer model Vizio's. I wasn't sure if there was a specific pitch needed or just the mm length. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  • Re: Toshiba LED TV, blank screen

Quick question to those familiar with this issue. I disconnected the Yellow Wire..#15..and the screen blanks out after a few seconds..with the initial flashing first...did I do something wrong or is this telling me there is a shorted LED really causing the screen shutdown?..

    Any help would be appreciated...
    Thanks!

  • Re: Toshiba LED TV, blank screen

I am ok with disconnecting the wire if that fixes the problem, but I could not seem to determine from reading the thread, with all the comments, if that is actually a long term fix. There seems to be some comments that there is a shorted/bad LED as the cause to the problem.

Does anyone have any updates on this quick fix?

    Thanks!
