    Samsung LE37R87BD

    Hi.
Can anyone tell me if the attached pics are more likely to be a Panel fault or T-Con issue.
Tv makes a bad static sound when powered on and displays images attached. It seems to power off and then on again repeatedly. If its left for approx 20 mins it sorts its self out and works fine.
The fact it works after 20 mins gives me some hope its not the panel.

What happens if you unplug one ribbon cable from the LCD to the t-con and then vice versa the other one, then unplug both?

You need to unscrew the back of the tv so we can see the boards.

The powering off and on is probably bad capacitors this model is prone to bad caps.
This model I believe also uses a tcon with the the extremely unreliable as15-f chip on the tcon. A faulty as15-f chip can cause all sorts of image problems but you'll need to check voltages.

Epprom failure I would say very common on them boards in them tvs. Also probably bad caps take the back off.

hi. i have a same problem when i switched on my tv. i try to heat up the main board , and the problem solved until when i just put my tv to standby. after 1-2 hour , the tv is switched on itself and starting the noises and flickering screen again. im ordered a new mainboar from ebay .im waiting for the panel coming.
so , i think u have a same problem. u have to change the main board. if u inspecting the board , u can see it is already bended....is not really good for the overheated components under the shield. but , it is just my opinion. (sorry about my english is not to good) i hope this info was helpful. tomorrow i will get my new mainboard , and i will refer about that. -peace-

Doesn't eeprom load at start up? Would it load 20 min later after warm if it had thermal issue? Not challenging just trying to learn.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Its a bit weird on these boards it can cause serveral symptoms when the EPPROM corrupts. Also there are some 1000uf caps under the heatsink that can cause similar to this thread.

Need a picture of mainboard. Is this the board with the AS7 tant caps that fail and cause cycling?
