Re: Samsung LE37r88bd
Failed epprom probably usual fault on this model failed caps corrupt the epprom. Try turning the tv off then press info, menu, mute then power and see if the service menu comes up. If so reset the tv.Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Anyone Doing So Will Be Banned Instantly !

Re: Samsung LE37r88bd
1) find epprom on bottom of main board (ic1803)
2) take 2 lengths of wire and solder one end of each of the pins 5+6
3) strip the other ends and make sure they are long enough to pass outside the board when main board is re-fitted...
4) plug all connections back in
5) hold the 2 bare ends together so when you let go they will full apart " make sure they dont short anywhere when they separate..
6) whilst holding bare ends together plug in mains supply count to 2 secs and release leads
7) press info/menu/mute/power if tv doesnt come on normally
you may have to repeat the process several times dont give up!
worse case you will need to by a new chip £2 off ebay i think

Re: Samsung LE37r88bd
You would remove the wires afterwards, if the fix worked.
As far as I know, the idea is that you interrupt communication to the NVRAM\Settings EEPROM so when the TV starts it thinks the EEPROM is not there, and starts up with default settings. When you shutdown and restart normally after that, it writes those default settings to the EEPROM, thus overwriting any corrupt data, and allowing the TV to start normally."Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"
