LG 60PN6500 Plasma Intermittent vertical blue line

Hello,

I recently picked up this Plasma on Craigslist. Has a thick blue vertical line that seems to fade in and out. I noticed moving the tv makes it flicker and sometimes disappear only to reappear mins or hours later. Sometimes can go days without the blue line.

Lately the line seems to be staying put. When I tilt the tv forward it goes away but comes back when I put the tv back into place. Also, when I run color wash, it's not there at all. Any thoughts?

Hmm unfortunately looks like a bad plasma panel. Try reseating all the ribbons cables that go to the screen on the bottom side of the tv.

Could be a bad panel or a loose panel connector on the X buffer boards.

And do so with the power OFF or unplugged even.

And if my eyes aren't deceiving me I can see the band in the last pic.

Took off the back panel reseated the ribbons, blew some compressed air. Seems to have gotten rid of the blue line for now. Have had the tv on for about 3 hours now, hasn't returned or flickered. Though still has a discoloured line where the blue line was. I guess it's better than the blue line. Not really noticeable on darker images.

It might be a small case of burn in if the blue line has been there for a while let us know if it comes back.
