    Dead toshiba

    I got this 42rv53u set. It doesnt have any standby light on. Ac voltage at the fuse is 9vac. I don't have any dc voltages at any of the connectors.

    Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

          Please clarify the model number, is it 42rv53u or 42rv530u?
          Also please take the pictures that will show the WHOLE board, top side and Bottom side of the boards as well.

          They look like 42RV530U boards.

            Hello, Just a update on this set. I found mosfet Q820 had blown.

              I have a problem also that the resistor 1.8 ohms keeps blowing, do think may be that's the problem also. BTW how do you check this mosfet

                if it's shorted, it's bad.

                  Get the P/N of the MOSFT and then look for the spec sheet to learn about the pinout of the 3 pins. It will usually has shorted out between Source and Drain pin when it is bad.

                    I removed the Q820 & I check it with chinese made tester & it's ok
