one last thing....tv works pretty good now.....but i do notice when there is no video and just a black screen i can see a few red sparkles random on screen......its not bad but i do see them...but .when video comes on with a white picture or sonething bright i dont see the sparkes.........can this be eliminated?

Thats because of age on the plasma panel you can help this but turning down the Vs & Va and other voltages on the sustain boards by a few voltages this primes the panel lower meaning that there is less chance of discharge happening.

do i have to adjust while tv on or off...or doesnt matter?

You can do it while on or off you wont harm anything if you are careful.
