    Tc-p42c2 code 7

SOS 7, service manual says SN board *, disconnected 2 connectors and ribbon from SN board and get SOS 10, original SN board TNPA5066 (suffix "OK" stamped) unavailable at shopjimmydotcom they said TNPA5066AC is compatible replacement. Received Part, looks the same, installed and now I get SOS code 10 with new SN board installed, removed cables and ribbon from new board and coded 10 as well.

The service manual says (checkpoint) "*use SC jig to isolate the board" which I can find no instruction of this jig in the book.

I am not really a diagnostic guy although I know my basics around a meter but thought id get lucky with the swap-tronics.
layman's terms please and thank you in advance.

Note: I did reinstall the original SN board back in and code 7 returns with all connectors plugged in, trying to eliminate the installation as the fault. thank you

The SC jig is just a jumper that shorts the two pins together.
Next, please send some whole board pix's of the SC top and bottom.

check the SS board for shorted vsus or check the Q001,002,021,022 for short. bad thing with these is a bad SS can take out a good SN. SC50 is of noe use here as it's a SN board and the buffers and SC are combined = SN

10 blink can be a number of items. if you disconnect sn2,sn3,sn20,ss11,ss3,P35 then the 3 white ribbons at the A board and turn it on.

See if no error blinks are there or what are then turn off, do not reconnect any of those for 5-10mins.

If you end up with no error blinks then at least we can say the 10 blinks is not A or p board and then focus on the SN & SS boards

yep, so what you have are TNPA5066 revisions AC & AB, there may be a 3rd version which also will work. Don't get hung up on the fact you have different version, both are suitable.
