Bad panel I'm afraid, especially the black line to the left hand side.

Thanks! Do you mean bad panel as in power supply or video card?

The panel usually refers to the actual 'screen'.

Thanks, that's what I thought he meant. What can go bad on a lcd screen if its not broken or cracked?

Could the line be tab bonding? I just don't get the snow.

          Thanks!

The snow is just the analogue signal.
Change it to hdmi and it should go away.

Yes most likely is a tab bond failure. Or Ribbon ICs are failing.

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

                Samsung UN58TU7000F no picture
                by Yanleb
I have a Samsung UN58TU7000FXZC (same as UN58TU7000FXZA, just the Canadian model) with no picture. Backlight is on and sound is coming out just fine. Just no picture.

What is frustrating is that there's no voltage test point and no component labelling of any kind.

What I have found so far:
                1. No voltage at pins 91-94 of the 96 pins connector CN1300 (marked 1 on the picture). This TV set has no T-CON board. The 96 pin flex cable goes directly to the right (when facing TV) lower panel board. Itself is linked with another flex to the other side.
                2. Voltage...

Samsung UE50TU8000K no picture or lanes on it
                by Dobsuk
Hi guys, i am dealing with one Samsung 50TU8000K which was without picture - just was resetting itself constantly. Saw some videos and read some post about simmilar issue and the advise was to try to tape cut off method and started to put tape on some of the pins on this ribbon cable:

And then i had picture but with lanes. Tried different pins and combination but could not managed to make it work without any lanes so far. Will keep playing with it though.
The weird thing is that i tried it again without any tape on the pins and now i have picture with just few lanes...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

Samsung UE43NU7122 has Picture, but no Backlight
                by Fenzon
Greetings fellow DYIers, the moment I discovered this community forum, nostalgia has hit me pretty hard, this early web 2.0 look and feel is close to home. I can't describe my happiness seeing active forums that survived today, and its not just yet another centralized propriety subreddit.

Before I describe my issue with this particular TV, I would like to let you know that I do have basic electronic competence, and some electronic component knowledge. I also am an electrical installation technician student, although we exclusively study alternating currents and our primary...
