Hey folks! Here is where I am at. I have read tons of posts relating to this model and also watched many videos. A picture of the back removed is attached as the wiring for this is different from the 50 inch. This was my neighbor's TV and he moved out. He told me that at times it powered on and other times it turned off. The tv is a Insignia NS-42p650a11 (42in Samsung Plasma). It won't turn on but just clicks.
When I plug it in, the relay clicks and the red stand by lights blinks. There is no picture or sound. The green light on the logic board lights up and the red light on the main board also.
I disconnected the from the PSU the y board. The X board is connected to the y board but not the PSU. Screen does not turn on but the relay clicks. If you hit the power button again, the relay clicks once and the green light on the logic board goes solid and blinks once every five seconds. Still nothing on the screen.
I performed the test just like this guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovnw8BrsQnY I disconnected the Yboard from PSU, nothing. I disconnected the X from the Y and reconnected the Y to the PSU, still nothing and the light blinks once every 5 seconds.
This video(at 1:28) indicates https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjrwTZC5nVg that if the light blinks once every 5 seconds, there is a problem with the Y buffer, y main, or x main boards. If this is the case, then why is the TV not making any audio when I disconnect the Y main, and X main, just like in this video? Is the X and Y both bad?
