Re: Insignia plasma n2-42p650a11 black horizontal lines
Actually There are some used ones (untested) on ebay for $20 or a "new" one for around $35. Do you think it's worth the gamble to see if it fixes it?

Insignia plasma n2-42p650a11 black horizontal lines
Hi I picked this up on the side of the road. It has black horizontal lines on the display. It's it repairable?
I looked for bulging caps but didn't see any.
Thanks...

Re: Hisense F42K20E static out of speakers even with sound turned down
WOW, i do not believe this. I cleaned the power supply board up and down, with tooth brush, rubbing alcohol, canned air and finally a leaf blower, and the static is 95% gone!! The only way you can hear it now is if you put your ear very close to the speaker (but that is probably normal).
I really can't believe this worked! You guys are AWESOME!! Thanks for the help everyone!...Last edited by jmandawg; 08-22-2020, 11:32 AM.

Yes it has a headphone jack on the bottom of the right side and yes it produces the same static. Here are some closer pics....Last edited by jmandawg; 08-20-2020, 04:38 AM.

Re: Hisense F42K20E static out of speakers even with sound turned down
I'm using no input at all, absolutely nothing is plugged into the TV, it's just the blue screen, and that static sound is blasting out the speakers.
I tried an hdmi souce, and it works, and i get the hdmi audio, but i also get the static.
Sorry I meant headphone jack. If i plug headphones into the headphone jack, the speakers turn off as expected (no static out of external speakers) but the static comes through the headphones.
I tried a factory reset, no differen...

Re: Hisense F42K20E static out of speakers even with sound turned down
Quick update, I just tested hooking a different speaker up to the output wire and i get the same static. The static also comes through the aux jack on the back of the TV.Last edited by jmandawg; 08-19-2020, 06:35 AM.

Hi all,
I found a Hisense F42K20E in the trash. The picture works great, but there's static coming out of both speakers even with sound turned down to zero.

Re: LG 42LB5600 standby light works but no picture and clicking sound
That's a great video, i wish i saw it a couple days ago. Does it matter if the old white tape that sits between the frame and the LED strip is removed with the old led strips? The tape on mine is coming off easier than the led strips so it's easier to just pull the tape off with the led strips. So can i attach the new LEDs directly to the frame or is the tape needed to providing some kind of insulation....

Re: LG 42LB5600 standby light works but no picture and clicking sound
1+2) Your right. I measured the red led wire with the chasis, and it's getting 103v, i measured C224 again and it is also 103v (i don't think board was screwed in before or maybe leds weren't hooked up don't remember).
3) i did not but let me try again when it gets dark the room it is in has a lot of windows.
4) again you are right, i meant there is 0 resistence.
Oh and before when i previously said the 24v pin was dropping from like 18v to 1, it's because my...Last edited by jmandawg; 08-05-2020, 05:41 PM.

Re: LG 42LB5600 standby light works but no picture and clicking sound
Ok that makes sense. Not sure if it's worth investing in new LEDs or not with a TV this old and i did bend the frame a little when removing it... Was hoping it was something easier/cheaper. Thanks for all the help guys....
