    Samsung PS51D6900DS (S50FH-YB09) power problem

With everything connected the tv powers up and no sound from the power supply(relay). Removed the p/s from set and shorted PS_ON and used 3.3k resistor to VS_ON and got all my voltages(VA,VS) and 5.3v, 15v. The LED doesn't come on at all, but there is 5v standby and LED on front of tv flashes red.

I removed the YSUS and XSUS boards from the set and connected them to the p/s on my bench and p/s clicks on and I get my VS,VA VE,VSC.

When I tried isolating the faulty board in the set, by removing connectors one at a time, I still get nothing(no relay clicks) and no LED on logic board.

Could this point to a faulty logic or main board?

the solenoid needs to click,to provide the switched 5v to the logic board,in every Samsung plasma I have so far come across..the green lamp should flash even with nothing else connected to the pcb,bar 5v supply.

I found that with everything in the tv connected, when I remove the ribbon cable going from the YSUS to the logic board, and also remove the cable going from the YSUS to XSUS, the power comes on and stays on, and the LED flashes on the logic board. As soon as I reconnect the ribbon cable or XSUS board , the power only comes on for a couple seconds then drops. the LED on the logic boards is on solid.

I found that the 5.3v line on the power supply only measures only 90ohms.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
        by PantherDave
        Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

        Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue
        by GLISIT
        Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

        Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA No power
        by mrtek
        Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
        Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
        LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...

        Samsung UE75MU7009TXZG Endless Power Cycle

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here

My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.

Since a few days, the TV won't turn...
