LG 50PK550 no picture but sound

    Hi,

a friend of mine brought me his LG tv which has no picture anymore.
In his words, the tv went from working to blank without any prior signs of error.

When powered up, there is no glow on the pannel, but the remote and sound are working.

So i opened it up and started to follow the guides i found here.
The fuses seem ok, and the resistors at the top right corner of the PSU are all at 10 Ohms.

    Voltages are:

    Vs on P812: 203,1 volts
    Vs on P811: 202,9 volts

    Va on P812: 60,1 volts
    Va on P811: not connected

    5 Volts on P812: 5,04 volts
    5 Volts on P811: 5,09 volts

VSC with Y-Drive boards connected: 0,4 jumping to about 2,6 volts
VSC with Y-Drive boards unplugged: 150,6 volts

-Vy with Y-Drive boards connected: -4,7 jumping to -30 volts
-Vy with Y-Drive boards unplugged: -189,5 volts

    VZB: 114,7 volts

    LED on mainboard is blinking

The strange thing is, when the tv is powered up with the two Y-Drive boards unplugged, VSC and -Vy voltages are stable and the pannel shows a picture like this:

Does anyone know, what to do here and how to investigate this problem further?

Many thanks in advance .. Holger

    HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx (i7, 8gb) ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b short near PJ1802, type-c not switching to 19 volts

Laptop is HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx, hp website link, it's an i7-1250U with 8 gig onboard ram.
    Platform: ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b

Originally you'd plug power supply into it and it would take up to 1.2 amps and then drop to 200 milliamps and then go back up again to 1.2, staying all the while at 5 volts. Pressing power button would results in power LED blinking amber 3 times. 3.3 volt rail, 5.1 volt rail present, main power rail 8.8 volts. Power button test pads near EC chip 2.7 volts.

I found a short on the other side:

HP 15dy-2021nr wont power on mystery volts
    by supermattch
    Hi everyone.

I am diagnosing my personal laptop, because it wont power on and no leds light up.

At the dc-in there are 8 pins, 1 and 2 shows healthy 19.66 volts. The next three are ground, but the 6th one shows .283 volts. This is strange to me, it should be 3.3 or 5 or aome volts not 0.283v. As I am new to this, I would like some guidance. Please someone advise me on what to check next.

Oh the boardview and schematics I am using is for a similar model as I cannot find the proper one anywhere. Quanta DA0P5HMB8F1 rev F. Nowhere on the internet.

PS5 digital / No Power / No Beep / Good power supply
    by MisterAIL
    Hi everyone,

Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
    No beep, nothing.

After some tests i found this :
    - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
    - 12 volts line is shorted
    - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
    - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Mesuring all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)
    - 0.00 amp drawing
    - 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...

    Fishing bite alarm drains battery
    by Mcfeetroy
Good day to all. The bite alarm drains 9-volt Krona batteries. Current consumption when switched on is about 50 mA. I wiped the board from oxides, I will attach a photo (on the board there is a j3y transistor and a 7533 stabilizer, the microcircuit is erased = (the 3.3-volt stabilizer heats up weakly. I replaced it, nothing changed. I unsoldered the microcircuit, the consumption disappeared. The resistance on the pins of the unsoldered microcircuit from the point clockwise is more than 2 megaohms, the 11th leg is presumably ground. I warmed up the microcircuit, the consumption does not change....
