    Sony Kv21Se42 stby light displays 4 blinks.

    I recently replaced 3 elec capacitors in the vert circuit of a Sony Kv21se42 with
    the stand by light blinking 4 times.When the tv was powered up,there were
    vertical lines on the screen and I replaced the ver IC and the television worked
    ok for 3 days and shut down again and stby light is blinking 4 times.
    Can anyone offer a solution for this problem?

      I would check the Hor Osc cct for cold solder joints, also. Hor Osc Transformer, transistor, Horiz Output Transistor, Horiz Osc IC, etc. Ther may even be a Hor Osc Crystal that may be faulty.

          GUIDE ME WITH THE PROBLEM..

          SUMMARY-
          1.NO 1.8VOLTS ON BIOS PIN NO 8.
          2.S5 STATE ((PRESSING POWER BUTTON)))VOLTAGES ARE PRESENT...

          I have problem with SONY 55X90J. After several check status is as below;
          1. Running power board as stand alone:

          TCON_12V =~ 12.6V
          EVDD V On Max 24V= 19V.

          2.          Running power board with TCON as stand alone:

          Effect as below, attched.

          3. When bottom LVDS cable is disconnected no blinks, but of course no TCON 12V and EVDD.
          "I'm almost sure it's a defective panel, but maybe someone has encountered a similar issue on their screen.

          Hi everyone. First post on Badcaps!

          I am trying to fix a Sony 940E from 2017 that either starts normally (and works perfectly until turned off) or goes straight to the 6 blinks error code without showing anything on the screen. It is frustrating to know that it can still work perfectly but is barely usable because of the difficulty starting it up. I am willing to try to short the BL_ERR but I would like to avoid that if possible. Does anyone have a view on this? Thanks a lot....

          Hi,

          I’ve got a Sony KD-65XE8596 here that has no standby light coming on. I’ve tested the power board with the test meter, the TV needs 3.4 for the standby but only getting 2.4. Anything that I can change/check on the board to get it working? Pictures of the board are included.
