    Moduslink 25% off

    Just went on Moduslink web and saw a sale on.

    I think this is about to end, 25% off , first 2 weeks May.
    for all of those considering a repair.

    apologies if anyone is offended by the spam.

    I have no ties with them, but i think it's great someone has managed to develop a model for component repairs.

      Apologies to everyone on the forum. We had to upgrade for security reasons with the previous version of vbulletin. Unfortunately we had made so many customizations that it has been a true nightmare to get back up and running.

      I lowballed the Ukrainian seller of this board, as it was a risky buy....one, would it even get here....and two, would it even work....the seller was unable to test it and had no idea....which is probably why he accepted my silly lowball offer. Not only did it arrive 12 days earlier than predicted, it also worked. Good gamble!

      Test CPU's right after updating the BIOS to the latest. It had 1.0 on it (first release). It's now 3.1.....

      Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...

      Me and my 16 year old son have picked up a faulty Asus ROG Strix B650E-F from a garage sale

      It boots, but after 15 seconds powers off with a USB overcurrent protection message

      Please could you kindly provide the boardview as I am keen to develop his interest in to troubleshooting the usb fuses and USB protection diodes.

      Alternatively if you are a passer by and have sucessfully fixed something like this before would be keen to hear your troubleshooting method

      Thinkbook 15 G3 ACL

      I've got a thinkbook 15 G3 ACL that hung during a bios update and now laptop starts with blank screen, no sound and just fan whirring and caps and esc light on.

      Bios chip is Winbond W74M25JW, which i've read with Neoprogrammer - file attached.

      S/N of laptop is MP279KG9.

      I'd like to flash it without desoldering the chip, is that likely to work?

      Any help appreciated, this is my first request so apologies if I've missed something.
