    KDL-46Z4100 Problem

Hello. I have a 6 year old KDL-46Z4100 and up to yesterday the TV was working fine.
Now when I turn it on the Standby red light stays on, and the orange pic off/timer light blinks once every 3 seconds continuously.

The picture is a static color image that you can see in the attachment. No buttons on the remote work. I have tried to factory reset it and enter the error message\service menu, but I have not been able to since the remote control buttons do not work.

Does anyone have any ideas what the issue can be? Can it be a bad T-Con or BU board?

    Thank you for your help.

What voltage do you get at either side of the tcon fuse?

I have not opened up the TV yet. I am not that skilled with a volt meter, so I am not sure how to check for the voltages.

Is there anyway to debug this issue without using a volt meter?

Over the weekend I will open it up and verify that all of the cables\ribbons are in tightly, but that seems like a long shot.

Well going by the look of it is probably the tcon.

The tcon should have 2 ribbon cables that can be unhooked.
If you unhook 1 and power on the tv then check to see if you get a perfect image on 50% of the screen. If not, unhook the other ribbon and see if you get a perfect image on the other half of the screen.

If neither give a perfect image then it increases the chances it's a bad tcon.

But if you get a perfect pic on either side it's a faulty panel.

When unhooking the tcon ribbons the tv must be off.

          Hi
I have the exact same problem with the exact same model

I was playing with a console and suddenly a buzz sounded and the screen started to show some green vertical lines, even out of the 4:3 image of the console. Also, the remote didn't want to work, the system was unresponsive except for the input it was receiving.

I turned the tv off and on with the built-in buttons and got the same kind of image the original post has. After having the TV on for some time, the screen goes off and the standby light blinks 14 times (HFR error as the service manual says)

I tried cleaning all the boards hoping the humid dust could make something gone bad, and for one try it worked (I cleaned all the boards except the TCON and the thin one right before the panel, and nothing. Cleaned the Tcon and the other board, and the tv worked just fine on the first try, checking the self diag mode to see no error whatsoever, but after some hours I made a second try and got the same error)

After that, sometimes the screen shows something (the input it was at the time of the first error) and some vertical lines, then it goes with the white screen again.

I tried checking continuity on the fuses on the Tcon board and all of them looked fine.

I was thinking of buying a new Tcon board (already found one with the same part number), but I wasn't sure if that was the problem. I tried that of testing the halves of the screen, and the picture was basically the same, so I'd appreciate a second opinion, please.

Update: I bought the replacement, and I still have the same problem.

              2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.

              i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

              Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
              by perzyk23
              Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

              55fs3750 weird issue button stuck?
              by EazyBone
TCL 55fs3750 turns on, everything looks good, then out of no where it starts clicking as if a button is being pressed repeatedly and will continue like this until the TV shuts it self off. It's kind of odd. The buttons on side of TV are connected in channel to the ir blaster, so if I disconnect the buttons, I lose remote abilities. If I disconnect the ir blaster and turn it in normal problem still exists. If I disconnect the buttons after I turn the TV on, the problem continues .

Strange, anyone experienced this before? What should I check if you know. It's not remote related as...
