Samsung pn50b860y2f plasma TV blows A/C line in fuses on power board bn44-00277a

my samsung pn50b860 shut off during an all day movie marathon last week. No standby led, no picture, no sound, no "clicking noises".....it was completely dead. I removed the back and discovered the two fuses on the A/C input side of the power board (part# bn44-00277a) were blown. I performed a visual inspection for bad capacitors as well as any other obviously bad components and everything looked okay. After replacing the bad fuses with identically rated ceramic fuses, I plugged the TV in. It attempted to power itself on and immediately blew both fuses again. Just for giggles, I repeated the process and witnessed the same results. I find it odd that it blows the fuses on both legs of the A\C input. Could that be a clue as to with components on the power board might be bad? I greatly appreciate any and all help.

Thank you in advance for your insight,

Check ALL the MOSFETS on the heatsinks as well as the bridge-rectifier for short-circuits...

There's obviously a very heavy short there to blow both mains-fuses like that...

Thank you for the quick response. Is it best to remove them from the board to test them?

You can test in circuit for now, but if you find a shorted one remove it and test out of circuit to be sure.

Good clear pictures of your board will also be a big help.

I finally got the time to test the power board. After finding two bad MOSFETs, I decided to just swap out the board. I adjusted the VS and VA voltages as per the sticker inside the TV. The picture looks great for about five minutes and then becomes awful. I've attached images showing the screen. I also noticed the va an vs voltages drop after the TV is on for a few minutes . Not sure if this is normal behavior

Dropping Vs will cause this fault, and it's not normal for Vs to drop.
Does the picture get better if only a dim image is displayed? (For example, only the "No Signal" box)

Hmm--Thats a shame. Looks like the new PSU is faulty if both Va and Vs are dropping like that. Can you return it to where you bought it?
They should be stable to within a volt or so--no matter what happens while the sets running....

The picture does get better at the no signal screen. It looks like a normal no signal screen. As soon as I feed it a signal, it gets bad again.

It's taken a while for me to get and install new X, Y, and their buffer boards. Picture is great until tv has warmed up (30 minutes or so). If I open a menu from any source I get a ghost of the menu after exiting. Picture looks fine other than the ghost image of static menu. Any ideas?

Power supply for main amp blows fuses after replacing filter caps.
                        by acedogblast
Hello I have a Marantz sr5012 that I have been repairing. After I have replaced the 2 main filter caps the 2 fuses for the power amplifier blows. The original capacitors are ELNA LAO 10,000uF 71V and the replacements are Nichicon LKS 10,000uF 80V.
I assume a short circuit connection has occurred so I set my multimeter to measure ohms across the 2 fuse connections and both read 55 Kilo-ohms so I assume that is ok.

I am certain that I do not have any bridges on my soldering and after probing around I do find a temporary 0 ohm reading when probing across the positive and negative...

                        17PW15-8 blows fuses after lightning
                        by Sraros
                        Hello,
I picked this PSU 17PW15-8 from a friend's TV with a burnt fuse, after some days of rain and lightning strikes. The TV was on standby when it happened.
With new fuses it burns them as well. I checked bridge rectifier, all the TO220 components, diodes and basic caps, replaced IC806 SMPS, and FETS driving the big transformer. I also isolated the secondary circuit by cutting the rails of the FETs to the primary coils. I don't know even know if that makes sense, but I did in hopes to isolate the problem.
Any ideas what to look for?...

Samsung UN65KU6290F PS board blows fuses
                        by valvashon
Samsung UN65KU6290F (May 2017); received from local Buy Nothing group. Was listed as "just went dead" and they wanted it gone. I brought it home, didn't notice anything visually wrong with the power supply board, looked up the cost of a new one and that's about as far as it went. Family was tired of tripping on the foot of the set so I decided to dig in and repair or toss.

Can't believe that I didn't check it earlier but I found the main 8 amp fuse blown. Jumped across it with a 10 amp blade style fuse and you can see that it literally exploded inside the second I plugged...

                        by Sik_6ty_Sixx
So like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...
